I stand corrected. Although I still wouldn't inject into a bingo wing like I saw somebody posting.

You're supposed to jab in your fattiest bits, so for lots of people bingo wings would be one of them. The guidance definitely says to jab in the back of the arm. It was like playing Twister when I did it.

I was asking the question to make sure I'm avoiding muscle as much as possible - I'm not very knowledgeable about anatomy. :)

I’ve injected in the back of my arm a few times. Easiest way to do it is to sit on the sofa, press your arm against the back and if you have lots of arm fat like me you can easily reach the back that way 🤣

I’ve only tried thigh as a different jab site and thought it was rubbish, I’ll be sticking to stomach from now on
Same. The week I went for my thigh I hardly had any suppression so tummy for me.

Usually at this time of year after a few weeks of socialising /raiding the tubs of sweets/devouring boxes of mince pies, I'm looking for the loosest thing I can find for Christmas Day & upset because nothing fits me. I treated myself to a size 14 fitted sparkly skirt today. I'm 8 weeks in, just over a stone lighter and family & friends have started noticing this week. This is still my secret!

Week 8, MJ, -15lb

Why wouldn't you just lift one arm up like your scratching your ear and use the other hand to inject in the fat? I tried it when I was hoping different sites gave better suppression (which I know isn't possible but had to give it a go 🤷‍♂️ ) instead of putting yourself in knots going round the back?
That is what I did - was tricky to keep the needle steady for me.

I was originally asking if anyone knew if it was okay to jab other fatty areas like bum/hips. I don't like jabbing my arm or stomach (only because they feel more sensitive as I carry most weight on bum/thighs/hips).

I get really confused by people saying they're injecting into the back of their arm/bingo wings... its meant to be the top of your arm like you'd have a flu jab.

It definitely isn't, haha. I did this when I first started and gave myself a dead arm, was awful. Then I learnt that it was meant to be more fatty parts. My sister who is a nurse was appalled that I did that, haha.

Morning, all.
You've probably seen me post that I've stopped MJ for now as we quite unwell. Went back to the Dr yesterday as I'm not having BMs, not eating and just feeling so horrible
She diagnosed fecal impaction, and has given me stuff to try and clear it (which is currently doing bugger all)

Should have been getting on a flight in 30 mins to spend 4 days at German Christmas Markets, and staying in a fancy hotel, but not been able to go.
So AL wasted and £1500 lost 😔

No real point to this post, currently laying on bed balling my eyes out as I've ruined Christmas for my partner and feeling so sorry for myself
Oh No - I am so sorry! I haven’t been on the thread for a while as year end work deadlines have been all consuming but I do wish I had seen this so I could offer you some support as you’ve been incredible to everyone on the thread (including me in the past). I’ve had this twice in the last 6 months. It’s awful. I’ve never experienced anything like it. TMI but it’s worth than giving birth. I’d rather do that 100 times over so I understand how you feel. I haven’t read further yet so maybe you have updated since this but I hope that you are ok. What the doctor gave me also didn’t work. I don’t know where you are located but I went to see an incredible colonic therapist in Bognor Regis (I drove over an hour to see her), and had colonic hydrotherapy and a coffee enema and that is what sorted it out for me. I now see her monthly and take a million precautions to not get to that place again.

That you your lovely comments.
Bognor is about an hr from me too weirdly so def worth remembering when I go back.

It's acually developed somewhat in the last 24hrs 😂, basically the constipation, pain and everything is being caused by a massive inflamed ovarian cyst which was pressing on all the important bits... Explains all the other things I was blaming MJ on, irregular periods, not wanting to eat, bloating, fatigue etc
Stuck in hospital and currently on AB drip and they're going it drain it hopefully today dependant on my bloods and then see from there.
Have been warned this may be my Christmas 🙄

Oh poor thing! I’m glad you’ve had some answers. Though not that it’s an ovarian cyst, horrid 🙁 I hope you’re able to get home for Christmas. 🎄

I really hope this sorts things for you, and you will be home for Xmas. I have my fingers crossed. I hope you can get more comfortable, very very soon!

Today, if I optimistically use my height from when I was measured age 25 (I’m 51 and possibly an inch shorter!) I am now finally into the overweight BMI down from obese. And I was morbidly obese when I started losing three years ago. It’s been slow but steady, I don’t think I’ve ever dropped more that 2 lbs a week, and I started Mounjaro at the beginning of July. Hopefully we will all get there. I think a ‘healthy’ BMI is unrealistic for me, and being honest not maintainable, but hoping by to lose maybe another 10-12lbs. Then the scary bit. Maintaining it!
