Sarahs response to the ad standards panel is clearly a ridiculous attempt of a cop out full of gaslighting, lies and even threats with legal action.
She knows this wasn’t just an attack by the „haters“ and a large number of her followers ARE younger impressionable girls.

I think hell has frozen over because I’m going to defend Sarah here. That DM msg is completely fucked up and she deserves to be called out for it. It’s way beyond crossing the line and referring to the baby as ‘it’ is sick.

I would never dream to send a DM like that to Sarah or anyone, but I can’t stand influencers saying: “just because I have a large following doesn’t mean you can send me comments like that”… true. But also, just because you have a large following doesn’t mean that whatever you say goes, you are just a normal real person as you pointed out in this case. So quit playing professional fitness and health queen which you are only able to thanks to the large following despite being a normal, real mum/person with no qualifications. Sarah has really inconspicuous collarbones, yet she feverishly tries to make them visible by hunching her shoulders, which ironically, is really damaging to the posture over time and makes her look more stocky (which there is precisely nothing wrong with being, it’s just the reality she doesn’t want to face).

I know it’s symptomatic of a much more serious problem. Having had AN in my 20s I can relate to compulsive body checking or contorting into shapes that make it look skinnier. But idk why I just found her shifting trying to pop them incredibly funny. She’s lucky she didn’t burst another blood vessel.

Two things can be true at the same time. That DM is out of line and completely inappropriate AND Sarah is an unethical and problematic influencer.

I only read here now for the next scandal/because I want to see her cancelled. I’m getting a bit exhausted by all the speculation. Can we possibly go back to writing summaries at the start of a new thread so people like me can catch up without having to skim read hundreds of posts?

Sarah, take notes, that message is an actual hateful message that is wrong and bullying… what is not a hateful message is people trying to get you to acknowledge your wrong doings and express what you’re doing is wrong (when it is) (like your ebook )

It is absolutely disgusting what that person sent to Sarah. It is also absolutely an abuse of platform and power for her to post her username when calling her out. Sarah is responsible for any harassment and hate that woman may face.

Just as that girl is responsible for her own words towards Sarah, Sarah is now responsible for what comes to that girl. Sending a hateful DM is never ok. But blasting a non public figure's information to over 1 million followers in retaliation is honestly an abuse of that following.

Bad behavior is bad behavior, but we need to remember the context. Also, Sarah has the power to close her DMs if she feels it is not good for her. She also could have tried to engage in a private conversation and then posted anonymously the messages. But she didn't. She chose to doxx this girl and that is equally abusive as the horrible original message.
