I agree. Some of the stuff that I end up seeing retweeted on my twitter is so graphic. Social media is becoming full of porn now and it's disturbing. I bet so many small children end up seeing it
I also think it's bollocks acting like sex work is normal. It's a dark seedy industry. Look at her ‘friend’ Chloe. You're deluded to think it makes women ‘take control’. You get one life on this planet I wouldn't want to know my contribution on this world was selling my minge online for £3.
I believe sex work can be done healthily, safely and it can also be empowering. There is also a dark side to it because it usually attracts women who are vulnerable.
The key is informed consent.
I often say to people that just because *you* wouldn’t do it, doesn’t mean to say others should not.
My contribution in life is to not judge people by their choices in life and seek to understand.

Yes. Firstly, sex work is legal. It crosses over into being illegal should certain factors come into play.
But note the words: INFORMED CONSENT
In other words, if a woman totally knows what she is getting herself into, let her at it.
These young girls don’t have informed consent so they don’t fall into the same basket at those women who freely do it, know why, when, how and the risks involved.
If you believe in human rights, we should be offering human rights to sex workers in the same way as any minority or marginalised group.
Let’s not move the thread away from Sallie but I had to jump in about the “you’re deluded if you think sex work is okay”. I think it’s okay. I’m not deluded.

I agree that sex work is fine. I do think that it needs to be recognised and have clear rules to offer more stability and safety to these workers though.
Where I'm from it's completely illegal so they can't pay tax, get a mortgage etc because they've no earnings. If they're assaulted by a client it would be difficult to go to the police and because its so underground a lot of the workers aren't choosing to do it, they've been smuggled in etc. So sad.

Do you know what really irritates me with Sallie? This kind of virtue-signalling, capitalist ‘girl boss feminism’ that is in no way intersectional and serves no other purpose than to uphold the patriarchal society that we unfortunately have to live in.
Her bio says ‘advocate for woman’ but then she goes on to suggest that having matching finger and toenails is of utmost importance and that women should not pay any bills in relationships.
Furthermore, she’s said things about trans women in the past that are disgraceful- some of which I’ve also seen from some of you on here by the way which I think is DISGUSTING and needs to stop.
She is a walking contradiction. I agree with her on some minor points (e.g. I don’t think that body-shaming is ever okay and the fact that women feel the need to do that to each other is a shame.) but she is so far off with a lot of the things she speaks on because she’s uneducated in it. She preaches that she’s so smart but she can’t even read around the issues she wants to ‘advocate’ for.
Sorry that this is so longwinded but it’s just an observation that I have been holding in for a long time

I haven’t been on this thread for that long but I don’t think I have ever seens trans mentioned? Could be wrong but don’t see why trans issues would be discussed on a thread about a Z list woman. But you’re right that Sal needs to pack in claiming to be an advocate for something she doesn’t know much about.

I wouldn’t judge an adult who chooses to have sex for payment with someone choosing to pay......but I’d sure as hell judge someone who abuses children.
