WTAF? Who were the moderators at the time? That is bleeping awful. And then it transpired that he had been DMing members in a VERY creepy way so he was reported and eventually banned. And I THINK it became apparent that the mods were well aware of the creepiness but hadn’t bothered to act, despite some of the creepiness involving a member’s young child. There was a bit of an outcry which was swiftly dampened and we were told we ‘weren’t allowed’ to talk about it, even though the purpose of talking about it was to make sure other people were safe and aware he had been a creep. Lots of back-pedalling then quite nasty stuff followed and eventually those who were upset were accused of tit stirring and made to feel unwelcome unless we toed the line.
Why so?The Communication Store is interesting.
Good question. I know who it was and I know that I was really surprised to find out how many mods there were in the ‘shed’ considering how little they appeared to actually do. They were pretty hot on identifying spam and fake stuff for sale but not so great at making sure posters were behaving. I believe Sali was away at the time and said she would have dealt very differently had she been aware of what happened.WTAF? Who were the moderators at the time? That is bleeping awful.
Do you have a favourite thickening shampoo? I am desperateI used the Fibrology shampoo she recommended to thicken hair. It may work on others but mine seriously turned into a dull matted mess. Horrible. I suppose it did thicken it if matted tangles count.
The time I started to side eye her was her Function of Beauty recs. She got so bloody snotty about it. ‘Well it works for my hair, I can’t speak for yours obviously so you’ll have to find what works for you’ THEY ARE LITERALLY PAYING YOU TO RECOMMEND THEIR PRODUCTS TO EVERYONE.I used the Fibrology shampoo she recommended to thicken hair. Yes! When she said that purple eyeshadow suits everyone! Not me, I found out to my costGood question. Also, has anyone else felt the curse of ‘universally flattering? Whenever SH has described a product as such I can 99% guarantee it will make me look half dead. I came to think that was code for ‘looks good on all my mates’.
Sadly no. But I only now ever shampoo the roots and massage my scalp for a couple of minutes and use conditioner from mid length down. Also I never use a brush, just a wide tooth plastic cheapy comb. It takes more time (my hair is long but with a horrible tendency to get knotty) but I realised a brush, even a tangle teezer, was simply tearing hair out thus making it thin. Ooh actually contradicting myself (SH style) I use old school 2 in 1 Wash and Go as my shampoo and then any old conditioner on the ends and my hair is so thick and healthy. Maybe give it a try? I got mine for £1 in Asda. (I''ve stocked up on it now as it keeps selling out). So not too spendy. I've tried other 2 in 1s but they don't seem as good.Do you have a favourite thickening shampoo? YES to all this. I've never found a shampoo that volumises either. Most just make me hair shiny and limp, then as you say, loads of product later. I am a fan of the scrunchie on top of the head airdry thing too. I will look for that spray. Thanks!@melfish there is an Italian brand called O Way. They do a good volumising spray. I spray it on the lower layers of my hair whilst it’s wet and then put it on top of my head in a scrunchie and then dry it upside down. Does really help.
I don’t find any shampoos do much. I find it’s better to use a shampoo to try to make it as glossy as possible so it can carry more thickening product without looking too dull or heavy.

The Communication Store appears to be part of Beauty Banks' address. The 3rd company is something like Admin Shed (I have literally just looked at it and have forgotten the name already). She is the director of three companies now - Pretty Honest, The Beauty Banks and The Communication Store. - google ‘Sali Hughes Companies House’

I have curly hair, but I bought into the FoB because, well, Sali TBH, but it made my hair drier than bleeping Wurzel Gummidge. Never again. She's so solipsistic
Very true. I can’t work out how to edit so I can delete the names! Can anyone help? The moderation on GTL/SHB has always been awful. It was a clique of A-list Salinistas who hung out in what they call their ‘shed’, clearly bitching about the civilians (some may have been decent, but they came across en masse as hideously cliquey and far from neutral or measured.) I don’t think it’s on to name names as they’re private individuals. *Bugger Buddhism Face*
