She has some great songs but I thought that VMA’s performance was total pants! Taking that little bit of fabric off was comical like she has had the best pop song of the year and that’s her performance? Her staging was tit and she barely moved, save for a few steps left and right and some overdone hair flicking. I just thought as her first VMA’s she’d have given it more effort and had better staging. What she had was odd and didn’t suit her music at all. When you consider all the iconic performances down through the years at the VMA’s it just doesn’t stand up imo. Also those sheer granny tights give me the ick

I agree - I know it was the smaller stage/not in the main show but I thought everything about her performance at the 2023 VMAs was better and felt more authentic to her.

I was just about to say the same, I remember enjoying her VMA pre show performance last year and it’s like now she’s ’made it’ she isn’t trying as hard

She’s like a Bratz doll. Tiny body and a big round face. The hair drowns her.

She’s a dancer and could’ve done some really good choreography. I feel like every time she sings live she tries to switch up her songs so much and it actually makes it less enjoyable to listen to cos it comes out less polished and she doesn’t do adlibs that well. She’s no Ariana let’s put it that way.

I don’t think anyone’s saying she should hide it I just personally think it’s cringeworthy how she has to make everything sexual, like is she so void of a personality she has to turn to sex to be funny? She can’t even advertise shampoo without sexual innuendos

There's a difference between "openly sexual" and shoehorning it in to everything. Being "openly sexual" is a bizarre concept to me anyway, I don't really want to hear about anyone's sex life, celeb or not?

I think it’s too much and it’s corny. It’s nothing to do with her being a woman. “Come right on me”; “I’m so bleeping horny” - really?! There’s a difference between being a sexual person and then there’s whatever the hell she’s doing.

I think a lot of what she says is stuff we all say between ourselves and our friends except she just says it out loud publicly, personally I don’t mind it but can see where others have an issue

Being "openly sexual" has become de rigeur for female pop stars these days. It's not shocking or surprising any more, it's just boring and tacky.

The act is all a bit boring to me, but some people seem to like this "wild" stuff.

It feels like she's appealing to the soccer mums who have sex twice a year (birthday and anniversary) and the wildest thing that's happened to them all year is accidentally brushing the hand of the cute barista.
