TBH I love salads like that and make a similar one but without the pomegranate seeds. Can also make the walnuts, or substitute pecans candied. Can also sub citrus fruit for the pears.

That was my thought - I don’t need salad at Christmas! Give me allllll the cheese and alllll the bread sauce and alllll the chocolates. Then stick a fork in me and tell me I’m done.

Salad and sausage rolls etc go very well. I love salad a lot. It’s got blue cheese in it which is Christmassy. I do like to *cleanse*my palate between courses, like the French do. So if no sorbet is around then I’ll go for salad. They go all out at NYE instead of Christmas, and I cannot make it through the many courses.
