Actually not at all. Revlon are partnering with and donating to a charity (Look Good Feel Better) supporting women going through cancer treatment, so they hosted a lavish influencer event to promote it. But the maximum amount to be donated is capped at £5k and the donations are only from Revlon lipstick sales via Boots and only until the end of the month (July).
Looks like Ruth had a wonderful time at the event though, that’s what matters.

25-30 influencers at a ~£200/night hotel with spa treatments, lavish meals, wine tasting, and freebies including jewellery, personalised make up bags, clothes, beach bags, towels, makeup and more…

SURELY the influencer world is going to collapse in on itself at some point. It’s all so pathetic and transparent- women are paid to attend a glitzy event and ‘big up’ the product on their socials. Are people still not wise to this? How long can this go on?!

I used to find Ruth a breath of fresh air and quite funny but now she just comes across as so smug and try hard. The nonsense with the palm trees yesterday and the titles of her substack ramblings although admittedly I haven't read her substack. I just find her a real turn off now.

I usually like Ruth’s writing but I’m so sick of her plugging her book in every single video, be it make up favourites or going to a Taylor Swift show. I’ll look out for a cheap used copy.
