The previous book didn't bring in enough money, so now he's trying with a second. That plan doesn't make a whole lot of sense considering he's chosen the same method of publication & the same company. Why?

I also winced at ''needless editors''. I'd say editors are a pretty important part of the publishing industry!

For someone who has a blog on the internet which would benefit from editing so it’s not offensive, he’s really reaching.
Also he’s going “Amazon algorithm“ just coz people bought one book of you moaning about Tories, it doesn’t mean they want to buy every Tory moan book you write.

Judging by the size of the finished book, I assumed they didn't have enough editors. Those pages are overflowing like a pumble in a thimble.

I've funded a number of books through Unbound and sometimes one of the rewards is a pair of tickets to the launch party, if you fund the book to that level. If I'd funded to that level I never had to pay extra, just say I was coming, so they could manage the numbers, and the party was specific to people who had funded the book to that level, not an open invitation to everyone they follow on Twitter.

Not sure how "crowdfunding via Unbound again" ties in with "I could do it all myself you know!" from two weeks ago.

He needs "just" a printer and warehouse to do it all himself. Hubris in action.

I was on another forum years ago and we used to have occasional threads where we’d take the piss out of other forums. Kind of an early tattle. There was a very long thread about a similar doll forum where people would spend thousands on Real Dolls and then post about them. Obviously the main aim was sex, but they’d also dress them up, give them personalities. Some people even posted as their dolls. Worse, some guys had multiple dolls costing thousands and even did stuff like take their dolls out in public in a wheelchair. Needless to say to the content was HORRIFYING.
