Yeah I think the comment was more about why they are all of sudden interested. Usually, it’s the trail racers there but for some reason, the runfluencers who don’t run a lot of document their training and just accept freebies seem to be turning up. I get why Molly Seidel might be there, she’s taking a well documented rest from running but probably knows a lot of runners and companies there. The likes of Clarke and Welloggs are there for the freebies and to try and get more exposure

My prediction is that Welloggs are self-funding to jump on the bandwagon and get a bit of the action.
I reckon it's all for "content" and they'll be there for the YouTube videos.
Which is madness as they don't make enough from YouTube to justify it, their channels are vanity projects rather than money-makers at the point.
I also think the Eugene trip was for YouTube content and then he realised he wouldn't be allowed to set up his tripod at the finish line of the world championships like he did at the Night of the 10,000 Pbs.
Just my opinion.

That’s terrible! I went to a burger run get together pre Covid once and found he was a real creep, like really uncomfortable to be around! If he’s done that after his mother-in-law has passed then shame on him!

Oh yeah no I completely agree with this!! I’ve been trying to run it for a few years now but it’s so hard to get a place in both this and western states ! So frustratingI know.

I bet a lot of them want to jump to trail running, I think it's becoming more fashionable, also they're probably deluded enough to believe being a good road runner (or at least thinking they are) will also make them a good trail runner. Definitely can see some of them deciding they've some sort of gift to the trail scene. Having seen plenty of my club's solid road runners face plant instantly when they hit the trails I look forward to seeing how this goes 
It really is tragic..don’t suppose anyone knows whether her place was gifted or she got in via the points system/lottery?? I’m hoping to get my hands on some running stones next year then enter the ballot for 2024…gutted they changed it as I’ve done a load of ultras this year that would have given me enough points (had they not changed the system)

Not 100% sure but she did a story recently where she explained that this was a deferred entry from 2021 or 2020, I can’t remember. No idea how she got it, she has done a couple of trail events but not loads. Knowing her, it was gifted but I can’t be certain. But hey, you can always ask her agency, the email is in her bio…

definitely would be gifted I reckon! she’s decked out in hoka gear so I’m guessing they’ve given her a sponsored trip! I was going to buy so hoka shoes this weekend to replace my beaten up ones but they can do one now

Saw Charlotte collapsing on the line, she looked fine on the run up so not sure if she was exhausted or if it was just for the drama. You can tell the Instarunners, one girl was getting multiple jumpshots on the finish line till they took one she liked .

Agreed on the drama. However…. I didn’t think she’d finish with the little training she appears to have done, so for that at least she can be proud of getting to the end. Wonder if she’s either done a tits and hidden her training or if she’ll end up a molls and be injured after not training (enough)
