Isn’t she wearing a garmin in that picture
I think she wears Coros but she’ll flog anything, she’s that desperate to deflect from her running.

Just went down the rabbit hole and delved into her Insta - she left her full time corporate job around June 2023 so she’s been “runemployed” for over a year now. And yet people still bang on about her remarkable journey and maintain she’s not long been an amateur.

I actually thought the "former" was genuine for a moment! 😂 I lost all respect for her when she posted her strava result as her GNR result (I.e. sub 80mins) when the official results clearly show 80:04. She is literally 2 sexy runs from being a full blown influencer.

I think by now she has bypassed influencer and has basically become a virtual billboard. Literally every single post/ story is an ad for something.

She’s gone on some of these Font Remeau camps and seen just how hard all of these girls work and I think maybe from when she didn’t get what she wanted at Copenhagen (despite being paced) she’s sort of lost focus and realised she’s not as good as them and maybe not willing to work as hard as they do (they aren’t swanning off to Wimbledon, dabbling in other sports etc) and realised it’s not for her which is fine, but then please drop the “elite” handle

I don’t follow this person but checked, she has 35k followers so I think I can post this - Mods, tell me off if you need to.
but Sports Tours Int should not be putting their name to someone who is going to train for a full marathon in 8 weeks! That’s not right! Even if she has a decent base, 12 weeks is the minimum anyone should do. FFS, so irresponsible

I'm glad to see someone being sensible about eating while recovering from injury/operation. This is fitcetera, so many instagrammers cut their calories and do lots of other types of exercise. I can confirm eating extra calories while recovering from a broken ankle did not make me put on weight.

If I ate to those suggestions I’d be gaining at least 1lb a week, but I have an incredibly low BMR.

im sure she is already training for Florence? And has been doing a sensible plan, so this 8 week thing is purely for clout

That’s even worse surely?! If she’s already training, why not say so? There will be people who think it’s wise/safe/cool whatever to not properly train for a marathon. I know people do that all the time but the influencers who encourage it annoy me

Not to pace shame but her runs are all very slow and she brands herself as a “slower runner” who takes regular walking breaks even on shorter runs so might not be as hard on the body compared to training / running the marathon at a faster pace
