She reads here but can’t see the wood for the trees. Rosemary, do one thing well, be it the podcast, writing, editing, because working 10 hours a week on a plethora of things is never going to be lucrative or consistent.

I got out for an unexpected walk and listened. Tradwife is definitely an American thing. ‘Linked to alt right political values’ sums it up. I don’t even understand why they are talking about it. It is a small corner of a bunch of loons. I LOVED the hard sell of the patreon. €4.50, not it’s not. And join our book club to read a book that they chose but don’t want to and have not read.

Sure isn't she not really a stay at home mom, I know she writes but like she has the luxury of being at home with her child the majority of the time.... Clearly can spend a lot of time on tiktok too.

I used to really like her but every week I'm just like why am I bothering
 
Just to be clear, they are not slagging off stay at home mothers per se, more American loons who think staying at home and being Betty Draper with a side of religion and doomsday prepping thrown in. Rosemary and Beatrice have jealousy and ‘isn’t it well for you’ simmering away underneath at all times. All this from one woman who thinks a cookie decorating class is cooking and another who until earlier this year had a stay at home husband!
 
Oh God, someone unplug her wifi please!

@foxwarren The tradwife thing is nonsense but she lives in America permanently now, as does Beatrice. So of course they're talking about american topics, that's what they're exposed to? Fair enough, Irish listeners might be alienated, but an American slant shouldn't be a surprise at this stage.

And re the hostage exchange, you've linked to an rte article (which still calls them prisoners under 18). She's probably getting her news from american sources which likely has a pro-Israel slant.
 
That’s exactly the point I was making. She is complaining that some news sources were reporting it as hostages for prisoners, Im saying if you get your news from tik tok or Fox, what you’ll get is bias.
 
Yes Brandin did get a job. Sounds like Beatrice is still getting paid from old job until year end, from latest podcast. Be interesting to see what she'll do next.
Found latest podcast to be ridic, said nothing about the waste of a life/education/lack of fulfilment of being a trad wife. Rosemary is fascinated by the subject as it's purely aspirational on her behalf, she would just love to park up, do nothing & spend someone else money on her crap & endless takeaways.
 
I hate to break it to you but a lot of people go to work to get paid so they can live, not for 'fulfillment'. There are just as many women who would find it fulfilling to be stay at home mothers

Oh and I'm not buying the theory that Rosemary wants to be a 'trad wife' or that it's aspirational. If she was a stay at home mother Irish feminist twitter would be disgusted, they're always so sneery about someone who actually puts their kids ahead of a job. No, Rosemary wants success with the bare minimum effort

Is it arrogance, privilege or ignorance of her surroundings that gives her the confidence to wear that t-shirt? I wonder if she has actually worn it in public. There is a Jewish community in Fort Wayne.
