Robbie Williams and Ayda Field

I don't think he enjoys it. He has chronic depression. It's an illness
I know depression is an illness. I’m not trying to minimise his symptoms , and I realise the tone of my post is very much ‘he has nothing to be depressed about’ and I know I worded it badly. I just think that whatever direction life had taken him, depression would still have played a big role.

Yeah I think he is actually probably very lucky he ended up in a position to afford rehab and great therapists, because it would have caught up with him eventually and the outcome could have been very different to what it is (so far)

Regarding his relationship with Nicole Appleton - wasn’t it pretty much in fashion back then for girl band members to have babies (Melanie Blatt, Posh & Scary Spice etc)? It wasn’t shocking and didn’t seem to damage anyone’s career.

Her biography is a very interesting read. She clearly regretted the abortion a lot after, and they were both incredibly sad about it. She was very ill from complications following the procedure also (it was a fairly late one). It was clear to me from the book that Robbie meant a lot to her, arguably the love of her life. He down played the relationship in the doc, I thought; Nicole has some unseen private photos in her biography and it’s very obvious they were smitten with each other. My mum bought the book for me as I was a big All Saints fan and she commented on how beautiful the photos were.

Since the documentary, I’ve been listening to a lot of Robbie. I recorded an official top 20 show I saw was on last night at 10. They bleeped out the words fags, drunk and easy lays from Strong. What’s wrong with those? 🙄
He omitted the word 'gay' from the opening of Supreme on some BBC thing a while back 🙄 it's so silly, it's not like he uses it in an offensive way!

I know his mum trained as a counsellor in order to help Robbie with his demons. She may have felt some guilt at propelling him into the limelight at such a young age.
I thought it was weird he didn't mention his mum and dad so assumed he'd maybe had a bad upbringing but I did a bit of a google and that is not the case at all! They seem like lovely people and very involved with his life.

Maybe they didn't want to mentioned. Hope they didn't fall out.

Eta: i mean I don't actually hope, I don't care but would be a sad thing for them all if they did 🤣

His dad was/is on Twitter and I messaged him a couples times. Seemed like a lovely bloke. He has Parkinson’s now and I don’t think he sees much of rob sadly.

I thought it was odd they weren’t mentioned but other than that I really enjoyed the documentary I loved seeing the old footage.

But like Beckham -so much of the house in the documentary.
Thought it was good, as someone fighting some demons at the moment it helped me.

Baffled as to why he did it in his pants or why his eldest daughter is shown but not the others. Plus as others have said it seemed like she asked a planted question which isn’t great for a kid.

His wife comes across to me as someone who was happy to marry someone rich & famous, but that may be harsh. She seems good for him in fairness, I just like more down to earth people. Someone like the assistant who told him steroids would f him up.

I don’t think Ayda would have married him if he hadn’t been wealthy and famous. I think she genuinely loves him but also loves the lifestyle that comes with being the wife of a multimillionaire.
