It's not fraud at all. It's exactly what is allowed, with some enthusiastic extensions.

This is not an issue for me. I used to be a public servant and the daily rates for travel were extraordinary, amazing, lawful, exactly in line with Aust Renumeration Tribunal rates and oh-so-welcome.

I don't give a tit about her ageing lover with the slack jaw snoring and the orange cashmere jumper draped casually around his shoulders providing flights south for his troll.

My observation is that she's flown down before "on expenses", so why are we reading about this non-issue now?
The problem is that most of these things tend to run on the "don't take the piss" principle. Bragging about it twitter gets close to "taking the piss".

And regarding the Berlin Wall. I was three. I don't remember hearing about it. My first news memory is the oil well fires at the end of the 1990 / 91 Gulf War.

I was 14 when the Berlin Wall came down and my overriding memory was something something David Hasselhoff and a short segment on John Craven’s Newsround. It was a simpler time but it did inspire my lifelong passion for learning about the geopolitics of Eastern Europe*

*I’m lying. Gonna be honest, it didn’t impact me in any way whatsoever because I was 14 and more concerned about boys and alcohol my gsces.

This is a woman who was enraged that the council wouldn't give her the key to a tap for her water use at the beginning of the first lockdown. She is the most entitled #OneInFive of them all
