Current visa holders aren't banned per se, it's that there is a ban on entry for anyone without a national interest exception, who isn't a citizen, an LPR or a spouse of a citizen, from certain countries. You're right though, she's an absolute waste of a visa. You literally never see her at any of the amazing cultural events the city has to offer, just fancy restaurant after fancy restaurant and maybe the Met or Central Park, the two of the most basic tourist destinations in the city.

travelling through mexico is not as straight forward as they may think. US/mexico travel restrictions have been tightened up very recently due to a lot of US holiday makers over the winter/christmas season but US citizens cannot be refused entry back in whereas non us citizens are at the discretion and mercy of what border agent they meet. Sadly she made a very very foolish and immature decision travelling in December esp when things were so uncertain politically in the US and the little issue of Covid getting out of control both in Ireland and US. Why she thought Biden would just scrap the government travel ban to suit her christmas plans, il never know lol.
Would have loved to have seen her do a Macy's haul...their sales are legendary, go out to Queens and explore, there are amazing photography opportunities in Long Island City with the manhattan view , tired of seeing the brooklyn bridge from her apartment window , be really adventurous and use the subway to get around and perhaps even be even bolder and buy a hot dog from a street vendor... ah well!

I love New York at this time of year 💕 I'm not a Macy's fan typically but the 70%+ price reductions 😮 I've some serious bargains from there and Century 21!
 
Did they have blinkers on them about the need to come home for Christmas? Honestly, the longer it goes on the more bizarre it all becomes. I would genuinely love to know what they thought was going to happen and how they thought they'd be able to go back. The only thing I can think of to someway justify it is that Erika had work lined up in Ireland that fell through with the latest Lockdown. I would have more respect for them if they came on and said, yeah they maybe made a mistake in coming home and they're kinda stuck here now. But Erika won't because everything has to be soooooooo perfect all the time.

I think Erika and Kaelin epitomise the current state of Ireland perfectly; they couldn't see beyond their own selfish need to have a Christmas at home with mammy no matter what and they are suffering the consequences of their sort-sighted actions months later.

Why does it matter if they are citizens? I thought it just around where you had spent the previous 14 days. If they fly to Mexico and spend 2 weeks there don't they only then need a negative covid test to re-enter the US?

No problem 😊 I love NY. Sadly cancelled my trip last year. I lived it up when there. Sadly im now middle aged with a little madness left so not as adventurous as before but still wont be hanging out in the UES or seaport neighbourhood. She is missing out on so much. The fashion insitute of technology in the garment district is a great spot to visit. Prob closed now tho. Dont think i ever recall her and kaelin visiting the garment district. I had intended to unfollow but wanna hang on to see how it pans out. Glad to have found this thread. I used to be silently screaming looking at her boring repetitive beige posts. Perhaps tommy might invest in some red cushions. They could maybe give the apartment some personality!
 
I’d say they came home for Christmas because if they hadn’t mammy fox would have chartered a plane and flew them back herself.

can’t see Erika staying in Ireland either, the only USP she has is that she’s an Irish gal in new yaaark you’know.

there is nothing about her account or channel work following. She’s as bland as cement with less uses.

To gain entry to the USA from any destination you have to be a citizen, permanent resident (green card holder) have a exception no matter where you are coming from under the restrictions that are in place. Her Holding a visa means absolutely nothing, unless she lies and can prove her need to get back to nyc (which they have proved to be exceptionally good at ie bogus business, support animal)

I love it as well. There is so much to see. Her stories have always been lacking in that department.

Curious to know how David got back into the US, he was like a fella with no home to go too.
Whyyyyy they went home is beyond me, anyone could have told them you'll be stuck there for months 🙈 imo NYC is the only form of income keeping her afloat, who wants to watch boring vlogs from Kerry... No thanks. Stick an #NYC after your YT video and you're guaranteed clicks $$$$
 
If they had flights booked to America and tried to travel to the airport here would they be fined?
Also be surely even harder to travel through Mexico with the dog??

travel is allowed from Ireland for essential work purposes. David would have needed a letter from his US employer to say he had to return for work and that would have got him around the airport fine however...if he had a ticket to Mexico and a dog with him, not sure how that would have worked for him. The dog is an added difficulty esp trying if trying to transit through another country and joey most certainly isnt a registered service dog as they take two years to train at a recognised training facility. An emotional support dog requires confirmation from a medical professional basically saying the person's mental health is so fragile, their dog must accompany them at all times, tho i suspect there is someone dishing out these letters in NY on request seeing as we had three irish instagrammers travelling with emotional support dogs in the cabin when returning to Ireland in 2020. We will just have to watch and wait. They will get back eventually but its a question of when. The travel ban is to the end of March and then it may or may not be extended. i expect that will depend on the progress of their vaccination programme before they open to international arrivals.
