I’ve always been so proud of her for speaking out about the Catholic Church. She never wanted fame,she said that’s the life “they” wanted for me, the record label and managers. She just wanted to make music and do what she felt in her heart was right. And then when she performed next and everyone booed her instead of singing she cut off the music and made a speech doubling down and also calling out racism, class decision and sexism. But god, she’s had such a terrible life…her mother really screwed her up.

She was so talented though. What a voice and her mind was insane like her vocabulary and song writing were another level. I hope she’s in peace with her baby boy and that her other 3 children have support.

She never put up with any BS. Conor McGregor put up a post about her today claiming she was a great friend and of course, many brought receipts of the time he did a rant on Twitter complaining of COVID restrictions being lax which he took advantage of himself and she got involved basically telling him to shut his trap.

Only the other week in the midst of the RTE scandal did that clip appear on my Twitter
 
Sinead was so vilified in life, donal lunny got away Scott free, he was very damaging to his son in his behaviour towards him and has a direct hand in what happened

The video I saw was posted about 9th July in her new London flat, clearly struggling but talking about the new guitar she'd got with which she was planning to write new music

Yes, that was her last one, That isn't the one I see at first, someone had clearly posted another after trawling for a while, but said it was her last hours. She was wearing a blue off-shoulder top.

but she deserved that when she was alive.. not just now…. A while back she had a few despairing tweets, …. Radio silence… v few reached out and there was an air of ‘she’s a bit mad, attention seeker’ now it’s all like., she inspired me …it's a bit hard to swallow imho

Oh no I agree with that. She fully deserved it when she was alive and the backtrack of “oh she was trail blazer and a rebel we all should admire” does make me a bit sick. She was all of those things and more, but at least younger generations may see her differently. While yes, it should have been when she was alive at least it’s happening now.

Also the fact she offended a lot in her homeland and still unforgiven going by SM comments .

Morrissey put out a letter/note on his site saying the same thing...where was all the support when she was still alive?
