My son is the same age as Ollie and I’ve worked SO hard at stopping cursing around him (I’ve a mouth like a sailor). I can’t imagine proudly recording him swearing for all the world to see, it’s so scaldy.

I’ve learned if you just keep normal kids don’t repeat them. I curse like duck none of my kids ever have it’s when you ban it it becomes fun

I ran to the thread to say the same My four year old is still going to bed at the normal time. There’s a thing called the RTE player that you can watch things on at any time of day Kim!

Meh it’s a big family tradition in my house, everyone gets to stay up and watch it no matter what age..

Obviously if they fall asleep on the sofa they won’t be disturbed, it’s only 1 night a year. The same with New Year’s Eve, we all stay up to ring in the new year together.

Same here though we had both kids take afternoon naps when they normally don't so that they wouldn't be too overtired. It's worked fine every year so far

Yes but a 2 year old won’t be taking in any of it?? I’m recording it and will have it on for my toddler tomo but I doubt very very much he’ll pay even the slightest bit of attention.

My little girl never got a place in that crèche and is down since birth . She must be paying Penny’s to say he goes each day and isn’t Ecce age yet

Oh you can rest assured she's not paying anything or else paying the bare minimum, he was flung into crèche at the earliest possible moment so she could have all the free time in the world to watch TV uninterrupted

She’s the definition of when you want to be pregnant vs having a child. It’s like women who want the wedding but the marriage is just the side effect.

I do think that was probably a blessing for Ollie. At least he'll get interaction and activities in crèche.

Say her mother pays. Still it’s only in Ollies interest, I find the stories difficult to get through imagine trying to live with her

Maybe I’m biased as I’m in my 20s but I think it’s more a mix stupid people and the fact they tend to be drawn to social media so it’s shoved in our faces more. I like to think it’s not the norm anyway
