Redhanded podcast

Yes - the argument is always “what about supporting women and not beating them down” (often with a “be kind” chucked in there, for good measure), like having a vagina means you have to me loyal and supportive to each and every other woman. Some women are just twats and don’t deserve unfailing support!
I hate this so much. Do I have to be kind to Myra Hindley and Rose West because they are women. Why must I be kind to everyone.

Listening to an episode from a few months ago, and the majority of it so far is just H and S talking about all the places they have been and travelled. They just come across as extremely privileged and not relatable. Compared to seeing red with Mark and Bethan. It's not as polished but the two of them are so much more likeable. I think I'd enjoy going down the pub and chatting with them, whilst avoiding H and S who would be one upping everyone else and talking down to them. They used to be one of my top 3 podcasts as well.

Totally agree. Mark and Bethan (literally just started the latest episode) are so down to earth and you just know you’d have a great chat, down the pub with them. Unlike H & S who would just spend the time going on about where they went in their gap yar 😝

I rarely listen now. I'll have a look to see what kind of case it is but I always feel like whatever they do they tell you to go and listen to something else. Murtagh murders they just said go and listen to this other podcast and chernobyl which they didn't recently they just talked about the documentary. Give me the facts or don't cover the case.

Has the amount of adverts increased as well?? It seems like there are adverts every 20 minutes. Just duck off, you are both already getting a fortune in patreon.

Reading Penance (fictional true crime type story) and it basically has these little bits that are podcasters talking about the case (seems like the author has actually listened to TC podcasts to get the script and point out how they are kind of immoral in some ways in the way they talk about these crimes). As soon as I read this I immediately thought, they’ve based this on RH 😅 it’s set in the UK too so would actually make sense.

I read this in my head in Hannah and Suruthis voices 🤣 it’s definitely something they’d come out with!

So glad I found this thread. I’ve been listening to RH for a few years now, found it so enjoyable at first, but the quality of the pod really seems to have declined recently and I’m just finding the girls pretty unbearable to listen to.

Holy duck this week's episode is boring as hell, I tapped out after 30 mins. And of course it's yet another 2-parter. Are editors on strike or what?

As for last week's I skim-read the content and decided to avoid -- I don't know why Podcasts doesn't give the option to hide or block episodes.

The prosecutors covered the Karen read trial if you want the full not boring story.

Yes tbf I don't mind when they reference another podcast a lot cos I don't always want a deep dive! I found the teachers pet podcast quire dense and boring for instance but enjoyed the redhanded overview.
I thought The Teachers Pet was excellent.

I got fed up with The Lady Vanishes podcast, it's a really terrible, awful story but it felt like they kept repeating things to bulk out each episode.

This was my top podcast a few years ago but like others I’m now finding it isn’t as good. Put on an episode this morning where they’ve joined with another podcast Wine & Crime and I had to give up after 15 minutes. Loud, shouty Americans and hardly any mention of the case they’re covering.
I love true crime so recommendations for good podcasts welcome. I’ll check out Seeing Red.
