Lots of learning in Foundation is exactly that - giving kids the foundations they need to handle the massive step up to formal learning in year one.

Things like navigating relationships with other children, learning to focus and listen as well as practical things like holding a pencil, independently using toilets, changing yourself for PE, fastening your own shoes and coats, carrying your own lunch tray - it's setting the scene for your whole school life. IMO it's probably the worst year to take them out of school if you can avoid it.

Does she normally post anything to acknowledge new year? Agree Florida Disney castle is likely.

She used to a have a tradition for it... usually involving the white fireplace in the lounge or the crappy shutters next to the fireplace or balloon number garlands or a calendar showing the year. This tradition seems to have disappeared since Ratlas was created/born.

Hope she doesn’t miss the day where they cover managing a day out without being in a buggy

Some children aren't back in school until this time next week, so there was time this year to do a longer trip. They could be in the keys, or along the siestas in Florida....but it has been quite cold there (by their standards). We have friends there and they have hats and gloves on.

Below 20 certainly

Would also explain why she had the millions of Christmas before Christmas

Looking at the websites for the local primary schools they all appear to be back this week.

……that doesn’t necessarily mean F will be returning to school this week!

While Grabby may think F isn’t missing much, she really is missing out on socialising with peers, meaningful play, key early maths concepts, reading skills and quality teaching from the teacher. It’s confusing to come back to school when your topic has changed and everyone knows what’s going on. There are a lot of routines and rules that take a while to adjust to which pave the way to year 1 and beyond. It’s also harder for teachers to assess children at the end of the year when they’re off so much, like I’m more likely to say a child isn’t meeting in an area because there’s a clear lack of learning or anecdotal evidence and I can’t prove their ability in some areas.
The transition to year 1 is a challenge anyway and the year rolls around quickly so she ought to be careful.
And lastly, there is not a single head teacher who would ever tell parents in reception to take holidays. They probably said jokingly ‘but we can’t fine you if you do!’ And her being so obtuse took that as a sign to go abroad every other week.
there you Becks, this message is sent with love from a reception/KS1 teacher who is really tired of catching the same children up when they miss chunks of learning.

Although, if Rebecca aspires for her daughter to follow in her own footsteps what use is an education when you can have a 24 year old boyfriend to help you study for your mock GCSEs?

Frou Frou's school goes back this week.
My guess is they set off early , in between Christmas and NY for their annual 3 week trip pretending to live abroad in Aus, so she didn't miss allllllllllllll that free childcare.
Hence they couldn't take their dusty decs down as there wasn't much time and also explains why they had 97 Christmas events prior to the long haul.
Unfortunately, they had to miss out on getting a baby sitter for NYE and getting hammered with their mates, and suffering the most horrendous hangover looking after 2 FR kiddos on New years day..............Oh wait............:)

Ooh they're definitely on holiday hence the radio silence... the weird early family Christmas meals make sense now. You can never go by what photos she posts these days as they could've been taken a week or too beforehand etc. I bet they fucked off on Boxing day or even earlier. Have to wonder if the holiday is another freebie too.

She’s going to piss people off if it’s another freebie. She doesn’t deserve another free holiday. Didn’t she do this last time? She went quiet then announced she’d been away once she was home?

Nah she tanned the arse out of aff links while she was away, as it was Black Friday week - which is worse than radio silence 🤯

Is this the longest she's ever been offline for?
