I’ve only just come across Rebecca from the turkey teeth thing, but thought it was yet another example of the madness that is parasocial relationships. A UK dentist stitched one of Rebecca’s videos discouraging turkey teeth (reasonable imo, people should be aware of the long term consequences of replacing your natural teeth with crowns) and the dentist was then bombarded with negative comments and 1 star google reviews for their business from Rebecca’s ‘fans’

Obviously this isn’t Rebecca’s fault, and it’s happened with other famous/well known people, but it’s just a general comment on how it’s just absolutely bonkers that people will do horrible things in ‘defence’ of someone that they don’t know personally, and who certainly doesn‘t give a tit about them in return! Some (most?) of these people are grown adults too!

Cancel culture, people are outraged about how it might affect Rebecca’s mental health and see it as ‘bullying’ yet are quite happy in return to destroy a persons business and critique every single aspect of them even their appearance. 🫢 maybe she should have worded it better and explained why she doesn’t recommend it or even said nothing at all as that’s the safest thing to do 🤣 but I don’t think she deserved the severity of the back lash.

I completely agree with this, it’s crazy. There’s been numerous people on another thread I follow (which is about a literal nobody but happens to have 280k followers and share their every bowel movement on TikTok) who have been on the receiving end of hate from looney followers of this person, including phone calls to their employment trying to get them sacked, it’s absolute nutcase behaviour and all stemming from very fair comments of disagreement or constructive criticism. It’s gotten to the point where nobody should have any links to their work or say anything negative when it comes to commenting on larger following accounts because people are spiteful and idolise nobodies. You can like someone on social media but there’s absolutely no need to go all cancel culture on people for things as pathetic as a minor disagreement.

I never saw the dentist thing but I think the horse has already bolted when it comes to Turkey teeth (pun totally intended) because EVERYBODY knows someone who has them. To be honest, from what I see it’s only the live, laugh, love brigade whose partners sell french bulldogs who are still getting them done and others have started to get them done more subtly from UK dentists - may just be my area though!
 
Getting a bit sick of seeing her on tt, how many times can you make crude jokes or l harp on about a traffic cone up your hole. Don’t agree with how she went for the dentist either, she wasn’t critical of Becky she was critical of the dentist in turkey; rightly so. Those turkey teeth have so many issues long term..
 
She knew exactly what she was doing when she posted that response to the dentist. She knew her little sheep would go and harass that persons page, totally out of order. I don’t like her I find her really cocky and arrogant. Other people get ripped on tattle for posting on OF yet Rebecca can shove tentacles and cones up her hole and everyone idolises her for it.
 
I didn’t have an opinion on her but posting about the dentist and allowing her sheep to harass is bang out of order the dentist didn’t slate her, her job or anything to do with her but the treatment in turkey which I’m sure many of us already know about. Yes it’s her money and she can spend as she pleases it’s a fact turkey teeth aren’t all they’re worth. So hypocritical to slate someone’s profession when she shoves cones up her holes for a living and everyone laughs about it.

I’d much rather live in a tent and ride a unicycle than have videos of tentacles being shoved up my ass being forever on the internet just so I can afford a fancy car and an expensive house. 🤣 we all have limits on what we’d do for money I guess. I mean genuinely good for her, she’s set up for life but I don’t necessarily find it inspirational or admirable.
