There was a second email from someone confirming that the accusations of the daughter being covered in feces were untrue.

However, I maintain my view that children don’t just get removed from families without very good reason. Rarely for one single isolated incident, either. There’s a lot that Reann isn’t sharing. As is her right, of course. But cherry-picking parts of the story that make her look favourable and others look like the enmy doesn’t do her credibility much good

Perhaps the girl was soiled and the parents had not brought the supplies to keep her clean and dignified such as a change of clothes, continence pads etc. This is basic personal care and the hospital of all places would’ve had changing facilities. Leaving people in their own waste leads to skin breakdown and sores which can be very hard to heal. So maybe not covered in faeces, but I would hazard a guess that there were instances where the care provided by the parents was woefully neglectful.

I think the soiling had to have happened regularly in health and education settings. Along with other things or behaviours from the parents which would cause alarm. It's also disturbing that they didn't catheterise the poor child or teach them how to do it. It might not be the only medical procedure they didn't bother with.

I think that second email was worded in such a way by that particular professional that they had never witnessed A being neglected personally themself, not that it hadn’t happened or been seen by someone else.

The one that claims she was sitting in soiled pants without a change of clothes I think Reann actually defended as something like, “It’s not usually a problem so they don’t carry spares”.

There’s definitely more to it than she lets on. I would not be at all surprised if the professional consensus was that this high needs girl having 9 younger siblings (some of whom also have additional needs) was contributing to the sliding in the standard of care her parents could realistically provide for her. I bet you any money Reann is doing the ol’ narcissistic-rewriting-history thing rather than facing up to the fact she’s made some terrible decisions, she’s a tit and self-centred parent, and her kid was removed from her care with good reason.

You’re so right about the disregard for their dignity. A is nearly 18 years old, and her mother is sharing private documents publicly about her soiling herself. I don’t know many 17 year old young women who would appreciate that.
