This is such a strange one, I am guessing she was his partner as there is no mention of anyone else but she is 40 years younger than him. Also weird that there is no mnetion is made of the younger man(presumably her son?) who was also arrested.

If she's being transferred to Rampton could it be mental health related?

I imagine so. When it happened the press were reporting that they never left the house and that sometimes she was seen in doing gardening while wearing some kind of protective suit and mask.
It sounds like an odd set up. if she was his partner then that is a huge age gap and the young man living there too who is in his 20’s.

I didn't read much about the case at the time so was unaware that he was in his 90s. It says he was widowed so perhaps that was his partner. I would imagine if she's being transferred to Rampton perhaps something has happened in custody, maybe she's doing herself or others harm. Feel for the poor man, you would think in his 90s he would die peacefully not by being murdered.

It says a lot about our perception of domestic violence that when the perpetrator is a woman that we assume she must be biologically male.

Most female perpetrators are not assumed to be male, usually because it’s clear in their photographs they are female.

The reason people now start to question some individuals (usually when photos are unclear) is because police/courts/press cannot be relied on to report factually about the biological sex of the perpetrator. Crimes are now recorded based on an ideological belief system of what a man says he is and not biological fact. Nothing to do with the perception of domestic violence at all.

When will Boone be told she must represent herself? I'd love to be a fly on the wall in any meetings she has with lawyers.
I do have some sympathy with her.
The case is nearly four years old, and the relationship with Torres was violent.
But I suspect her basic problem with the lawyers is that she expects them to lie for her - from what I can see the facts in the case do not match her version of events.
