Pregnancy Off Topic #5 “Are men ok??”

Bloody hell I couldn’t find the thread on my watched list and thought I’d lost you all 😅😂

how exciting @Lioness1 ❤ hopefully a new thread baby soon 😍

I’ve had a really nice day and the baby has been a little angel, he’s barely made a peep! Taken all his feeds really nicely without any pissing about (most feeds he likes to have a little 15 min siesta after about 60ml 😂). I’ve got some pjs with sheep on and the baby has a sleep suit with sheep so I’m going to have a bath, get in my pjs then bath him and get him in his matchy ones and find a film for us to watch whilst we wait for my bf to come home ☺

Ladies who have had their baby, how are you feeling about what you wear? A month PP and I feel like I just look like tit all the time and nothing looks right. I’ll probably go shopping when the summer holidays are over and the shops are quieter. I feel like the available breaks feeding friendly clothing isn’t really my style but equally I do need to be able to get my boobs out at short notice 😂 I miss my pregnancy clothes being proud to show my bump off!!

I feel I wear the same clothes all the time! My maternity clothes are too big but I can’t fit into my old clothes even though I weigh the same - my stomach is definitely bigger. I’m just waiting for winter to fit into jumper / leggings / clothes I wore when I first got pregnant - I don’t want to buy any new clothes in a bigger size to wear for a few weeks.

Body wise I don’t feel as bad in terms of what people think because I feel I have an excuse 😂

I look like absolute shite. I weigh more now than I did full term. My old clothes don't fit, my maternity clothes don't fit. I spend my days in oversized tees and too tight leggings. Tried to buy new clothes and they all looked shite so returned them all. Trying to lose weight but putting on more. Hate my body. ☹️

Eek good luck @Lioness1

Has anyone else been really claustrophobic since being pregnant. I literally can’t stand my husband hugging me in bed. I will move right to the end of the bed to get space and he will come next to me and hug me and fall asleep. And when we sit on the sofa he likes to put his legs over me and I feel like I can’t breathe. I feel so bad but it honestly gives me such rage 😭

I hated my fella cuddling me in bed even before kids 😂 I like my personal space in bed! I can’t cuddle cos I’ll sweat my tits off 😂

Yes absolutely in the same boat here, mostly temperature related but he also loves cuddling and used to say I “owed him” cuddles and that I was depriving him 🤢 I don’t mind one at the occasional time but could never fall asleep like that, ugghhhhh

Aw no I'm the opposite, I'm needy I want affection all the time hahaha. I've been sulking cos Mr B made a huffy fuss last night because I was snoring so I've spent the night on the edge of the spare bed, the rest of it is covered with baby's stuff. I'm still here now because I'm being a div and want him to come and get me and give me a cuddle hahaha.

Oh no! Will you ask for a sweep on Monday to see if that gets things moving?

I’ve never thought about it because last time everything just happened spontaneously, so I’ve never thought I would need anything to get moving. I’ll be 38+5 then and if I’ve lost some mucus plug then maybe a sweep might work! Something to ask I suppose!
---
I’m going to read up about sweeps now just incase. Has anyone had one and it’s worked? I know you need to at least be a bit dilated. If I have lost some mucus plug then hopefully I am dilating a bit. My first labour was fairly quick, 3 hours so I’ve been told this one could be quicker. If I do get a sweep is it likely that things will happen quickly if it works or could I still be waiting days.

I had three sweeps, didn't do a thing in terms of progressing my labour and was very uncomfortable. I was admitted because there were weird fluctuations on my ecg and ended up having a balloon. My first was born 40+1 after 72 hours of labour, my second was born 41+4 after 2 hours of labour.

The biggest spider came crawling up my covers last night. When I say I lost my tit. My OH bollocked me because I freaked him out that something was seriously wrong. I flung the covers back and bolted over him to get out his side 😂 then panicked I’d flicked it into the next to me! Carnage!

I’ve found this recent weather killer as I’d usually wear a vest under tops to do the one up one down thing. I’ve just been pulling my boob over the vest top and using a muslin to cover up but it’s risky 😂 or high waist bottoms so I can pull up a T-shirt and my tummy is a bit covered.
I’ve worn them with leggings or denim shorts in a size up, elastic waist denim ones, high waist cycling shorts and some linen look draw string/elastic waist ones. (“Linen blend pull-on shorts” and “ribbed button-top vest top” on H&M £10-12.99 as well as basic Primark vest tops)
The one dressier thing I’ve worn a maxi dress with a shirred elastic top and pulled that down too with a muslin to cover.
