I have found threads mentioning the boots - and some dissenters in the ranks. How long will they remain members?

Wouldn’t the average 16 year old be mortified for her mum to share this?! So utterly bizarre, I can’t believe there are people like this. Squigged out the name but left the profile pic so you can see the blue hair.

edit again, it seems this girl has some disabilities, whyyyy is her mum oversharing so much in a group of nearly 50k people when she absolutely cannot consent to this? ☹️

She's disabled and has the mental age of an eight year old. She is autistic and unable to attend school. She hadn't left the house in three years until recently.

As a doctor , I would cringe myself inside out if I received this. Not for the girl with additional needs, but for the parent who clearly wrote it.

I have some sympathy for her mum in this instance, tbh. I have a disabled child whose life isn't a million miles away from this girls and it can be a very, very lonely and isolating experiencing caring for a child in these circumstances. I probably used to say more than I should have about my child when they were younger, and I was less clued in on why that's not a great idea because I didn't have any real life friends going through the same thing and I hoped someone might relate. That was back in the day of forums like Handbag and Damsels. Now I do my best to protect my child's privacy and let them have ownership of their own story. Sometimes they ask me to share things about their life to highlight how little support is out there.

I kinda miss that group, they never actually spoke about dresses, I got some good recommendations for websites/trip ideas etc from there.

Yeah, it was the main reason I joined. My "crime" didn't even happen in the teacher group which is why it's so annoying I was banned from all of them. I actually have Popsy dresses I want to sell as well, so I'll need to use Vinted and they take longer to get rid of on there.
