I honestly thought Cherish was about 40, not the same age as me
Why would you do that to yourself and others? We suffer so you don't have to.
On your head be it
Ooh I remember miriam too. She sold off loads of her dresses and shoes in one lot though as she was off work following surgery and needed money. She did look good in them though and seemed really nice and genuine. No drama like these daysOuting myself as an avid reader of this thread. I was a "victim" of LLL first then the algorithm enticed me into the Popsy lair. Its so refreshing to see the chat on here!
I felt a bit stupid for falling for it all (the clothing and then the groups) but I realise with a bit of time and perspective I was actually quite vulnerable. I had alot of stuff going on in my life and I think I was looking for connection and validation that I just wasn't getting in my real life. I therefore have some sympathy for (some of) the people in the group. It feels really icky to me that the brand is using their vulnerability to sell stuff. Also that others are using it for their own egos (looking at you Timorgana).
I am still in the group but rarely go into it. I stopped mainly when it became obvious they were just telling everyone they looked great when they didn't. I also noticed that some people had real celebrity status and it was invoking the competitive attention seeking posts that have created the #Popsyhellhole it is now. At that time it was the Miriam lady who everyone stanned. Not sure if she's still on there. Felt like she was a bit of a idol for them with her bright style and IC shoe obsession. The hero worship didn't quite sit right. Although I'm not sure if she really was seeking it out like some of them do now.
Luckily I didn't buy too many of the dresses. Well, I bought a lot and sent them back since most were a bizarre fit and incredibly unflattering. No matter what the Popsyhuns say.
I have many regrets but I do stand by my purchase of a debobbler. Its just really fun to use.
LOL
If only… he only works part time!Yes absolutely- here is a genuine question from the Maths paper -
“Gummy’s husband earns £36,000 a year. A Popsy dress costs £45. If Gummy is entitled to 50% of her husbands earnings per year when they get divorced, how many popsy dresses can Gummy buy in a year?”
I could see Carolina Dress Room doing that dress. Popsy like to call themselves quirky but thet aren’t as fun with prints as CDR. Shame the fabric Carolina’s use is even sweatier than Popsy thoughJen Louise - are you on here? Cracking suggestion for an Alan Partridge print dress. 10/10 I would totally buy it.

I reckon something else must have happened, or maybe she saw the light as she sold them all off and left all the Popsy groups, including the Dictionary one that she used to maintain and update. She was constantly buying and posting in CDR after after leaving Popsy!
Yes the popsy wiki group was closed down …. I got the feeling popsy didn’t like it cos it wasn’t under their control
Yep, particularly as they specifically designed and named a dress after her so feels like something happened for her to leave like that. That seems rather petty after someone’s effort for their brand!

I really dislike Cherish and Greg. Their attitude is crappy, their tone is condescending as duck. They definitely try and hammer home the “Cherish just wanted to make dresses for nOrMaL women” bullshit.
I often wondered what happened to Miriam, she must have an addictive personality.
