Yeah not that I overly like either name but I could totally understand if they said 'baby Maeve Dorothy but to us she is Dotty' as you say she doesn't use Emma so it's more in keeping with that tradition.

Also can't not laugh at Zoe in the comments calling her Dot to differentiate but it still sounds like she means Dianne 😂

Crazy she was born on the 13th and no one gave zero Fs to even speculate

Maybe they’ve planned to both take O’Connor Deyes as a surname if they marry? Good for Poppy for making sure the baby has her name.

I think Dotty is cute for a young child, but as a grown woman, giving your name as 'Dotty' sounds strange. I agree they should have used Dorothy or Maeve as a 'formal' first name.

I think they should of called her Dotty Elliott Deyes because her father has never been known as anything else 😂

The number of vlogs over the years that Alfie and fellow Brit twatters have said things like we're meeting up with Caspar Lee, Sean Elliott, The Maynard's etc

They're like Royalty or cats or criminals they all seem to go by endless made up nick names .
 
Poppy's real name is Emma so hopefully her daughter makes it a tradition and goes by her middle name as well.
 
Is it a scratch or birthmark on Dotty’s chin? Anyone else noticed?
Edit to add- does anyone know why Poppy goes by her middle name?
Also maybe she was set on the name Dotty before Zoe had her kids

I don't think it matters. Dianne is dating Joe. No relation to Poppy at all. For all we know, Dianne may not be in the picture in the future, as they're not married. Why not go with a name you like for your child because your SIL's brother is dating someone who is just called that sometimes? Wouldn't stop me! Esp if that SIL's brother's gf is not my friend or someone close to me - see how far removed she is? lol.

dianne’s sisters child is called “zofia”.
the fact that there is a dot already in the family has definitely come up and Of all the names in the world they stick with this….😂🙈

I think generally this makes sense but they do all spend a lot of time with each other 🤷‍♀️
