It's in the article

it’s not actually. The article doesn’t say much at all just that they were suing him. Maybe he was the operational person and he led it to failure 🤷🏼‍♀️ who knows. But it was a stupid idea from someone who had absolutely no experience in shoes or retail. Pippas businesses only ran through “pop ups” and online which doesn’t show commitment or staying power. All their business are set up to be flashes in the pan, getting plebs to buy their rubbish and then they move on to something else. No way she will be able to keep Poco going and continually sell against all the big brands. Watch this space!

IT article as firewalled

Television presenter Brian Ormond took a rare misstep when he launched a high-end shoe business amid much fanfare in 2021. Ormond and his wife, Pippa O’Connor, own a fashion label selling everything from jeans to vodka. But it looks like Ormond’s not cut out to be a sole trader.Movrs, 25 per cent owned by Ormond and O’Connor, opened three years ago with shops on Harry Street, just off Grafton Street, and in Kildare Village. But last year the business folded, with the company behind the shoe brand going into liquidation.

The fallout looks set to continue in the High Court. Last week a company called Shuz 4 U Distribution Ltd lodged a legal action against Ormond. The company is owned by Sunil Shah and Paul Gallagher, who owned a quarter each of the Ormond-fronted shoe business. The pair made a tidy sum from introducing Skechers to Ireland but will be kicking themselves that they didn’t stick to sensible shoes.

And here’s the case ID. It’s at plenary summons so only commencing and tells you either there’s a severe falling out or Shuz can’t calculated their loss/damages request

See case ID posted if you want to follow it. Plenary summons only so a way to go.

Still doesn’t explain why they are suing him

So on the foot of Brian Ormond getting sued, one thinks Pippa should be too! Absolute copycat product! My sister in law lives in the states, no more than myself she loves skincare products etc, she said to me I see Pippa copied a product by a brand called Iris & Romeo, said product is called Weekend skin, it launched in summer 22 & the shade of the product is called … “universal glow”!! 🧐 They are basically identical products!
I hope that prat Ormond gets what’s coming to him, he might actually get a real job then.

Don’t they all essentially copy each other tho? No product is unique. They are all made in the same labs with different names stamped on. Her packaging is pretty similar to Rhode I think, not one of them have an individual thought in their heads.

All the usual suspects commenting on her Poco clothing reel. There is nothing groundbreaking about blazers , shirts and jeans. Why would she bother competing against Zara, H&M , Pennys or Dunnes ? She should stick to the beauty and bring out more products. At least develop one brand properly. She needs to go the Aimee school of business to see how to do it properly!!
