Not close enough.

Just some info for the record:

Phillip Schofield Cast Away is commissioned by Guy Davies for Channel 5, and executive produced by Clive Tulloh and Louise Quayle at Burning Bright Productions. The Producer-Director is Ewen Thomson.

Mark their names down as enablers.

Coincidence, as I asked the question who is making the show, and then deleted when I saw you'd just posted the info.

Have there been other Cast Away shows or is this a new concept? I found him & Holly boring on TM but watched to see the guests. Wonder if it will be mainly him going on about 'poor me'?

Joanna Lumley and Ruby Wax have both done Cast Away shows but I don't know if they were produced by the same people. And I can't remember what channel they were on.

This will absolutely be 3 hours of 'poor me' 🤢

I always thought Phillip's friendship with Holly was fake and just for mutual promotion. How many young women have a best friend who's old enough to be their father? They boasted how they were such great friends that their families went on holiday together. Why would a young couple with young children go on holiday with an unrelated old couple with grown up children? What could they have in common? Why would a man in a fake marriage who's more interested in grooming young runners want to go on that kind of family holiday?

I always though Fern had a better TV partnership with Phil as it was more fun, but now I see she was taking the mickey out of him, such as when she said that he likes dunking the beef.

Vanessa seems to be a terrible judge of character and very naive... she used to be quite friendly with Westcrack, she believed her fake cancer story, and encouraged her engagement to a toyboy drug dealer.
Didn't she also falsely claim that PS had turned his brother into the police?

On This Morning she would gush about her sex life and perfect relationship with Ben. He once serenaded her on the show for her birthday and it was one of the cringiest things I've ever seen. They used to have her as some sort of relationship expert giving out advice to callers. Of course that stopped when it came out he had been cheating.

Give it a rest will you … what if it had been one of your family ?

Addressing the affair in the series trailer, Schofield asks the camera: “I know what I did was unwise, but is it enough to absolutely destroy someone?”
Sickening, manipulative, narcissist. Who’s falling for this bullshit?

I could never stand him, long before any of this stuff emerged, so never watched TM. Didn't and don't like HW either. I remember seeing a clip of TM one time. He was 'interviewing' a male politician. I have no idea now what the issue was, it's too long ago. But he kept barking at the man, every time he tried to open his mouth to reply.

One thing I do know is the interviewee was not guilty of ANYTHING like what this creep is. How dare he sit on the high moral ground, judging others! I hope nobody watches this disgusting tv show, ugh, I'm so angry just typing this. 🤬
