Phillip did admit lying to ITV and to his lawyers, if he didn’t resign he would have been sacked just for that!
Then it leaves the question of what him admitting the lie means in terms of the investigation and their treatment of MM etc
 
I’ve been out most of the day doing half term entertainment, grandchildren are so tiresome when there is so much distraction on here. Have skipped a thread just to try to catch up and have just took 2 ibruprofen and a glass of red for my sore thumb, injured by the hole in a bowling ball. Just call me Uncle Buck 😂 Currently watching DW and suitably impressed an ex chancellor (Liz Truss style) has been bagged for the panel even if he done a Nicolas Cage and was Gone in 60 Seconds. But the moral outrage doesnt help children not be sexually abused infact pushing it underground means they dont seek help end up isolated and connecting with other pedalos and then offending. Totally agree! Child abuse sickens me (as it does any sane person), but condemning people who try to avoid offending doesn’t stop the problem. There should be more therapies and counselling available for those who hate what they are and don’t want to give in to the intrusive thoughts. Unfortunately, this country is very backwards and the majority of help is unavailable until after conviction.

It also doesn’t help when people assume that all child abusers must be pedophiles. This is simply not true. Narcissists and sociopaths abuse children without any kind of sexual attraction. For them, it’s about control, feeling power over others, and sometimes simply because they don’t feel like the rules apply to them. These are the ones who deserve condemnation.

If one child can be saved by providing psychological help to paedophiles I'm all for it.

I do agree with this. It is and should be taboo. But if you have those thoughts you should be able to seek help
