This bit in the black box. Seriously, people think these two twats are being bullied?! I can’t say I particularly dislike HW, my attitude to her is mostly because of her connection to Smuggy McSmugface, but I really can’t believe people are comparing a man who grooms teenage boys to Caroline Flack.

I'm not sure any comparison to Caroline Flack holds, and I'm a bit irritated by her name being brought up anytime the press isn't complimentary of a public figure.

Flack had a lot of issues, was known to be prone to outbursts and badly beat her partner. It's tragic that she took her own life, but the press had every right to report on what had happened.

ITV will have to back them because they also sent in the producer.

Also, and maybe this is reading too much into this. But I wonder why they were escorted through the main hall where there are live cameras and not just to the ‘media viewing gallery’. It makes me wonder if the people who escorted them / the organisers wanted them to be seen in there. Perhaps they weren’t happy that they were using their status to gain VIP entry?

That makes sense. James Grant group are known to be very cliquey and there was one point where every entertainment show going on ITV was hosted by one of their 'stars'. Which infuriated others.

The Ant drink-driving scandal and the waning influence on Simon Cowell shows forced ITV to at least diversify, and not put all eggs in one talent group's basket.
