I know what you are saying, but on a human level, privately, the girls must feel a deep sense of embarrassment and quite possibly shame. Yes, the lifestyle continues, and I am sure that they don't let their inner feelings show to PS, but I can imagine they feel that he has let them all down. No one wants their friendship groups to think you have a creepy Dad if the allegations of what he is doing online at 2am and in real life are true. Poor girls.

I hope you are right, but God only knows, how the rich and famous think. The best example is Ghislaine Maxwell getting involved with Jeffrey Epstein . After the scandal Capt Bob caused you'd think his daughter would try and stay clear of trouble. I hope his two are more sensible.
 
Ive been reading the comments under the two PS articles in the Daily Mail and the majority of there are negative about PS, in fact some quite sarcastic and funny comments re the holiday programme being cancelled that every cloud has a silver lining etc. Oh dear Phil, you need to get your fans to write nice things about you.

thinking back to another poster who said PS had the gall to have his young lover work for him, i can imagine the outrage if it was a young woman working with a man, in the same situation. Also there have been quite a few occasions when people in politics have been caught out employing family etc and not going around the correct procedures so how come PSs behaviour is acceptable?

I don’t care who presents TM the whole lot stink re their connection with the story. Thank God i mostly watch Talking Pictures and Craft channels.

To an extent I can agree with that. The guy I found on Twitter seemed to be of the impression that PS was patron of the theatre school, and he was good friends with SS from the days of him being a child actor in PS shows. Anyway, MM persuaded SS to get him a job on TM through his connection with PS when he turned 18, as he wanted to become a presenter. According to this guy, MM then 'stalked' PS and became infatuated with him, slept with him, then, when for whatever reason it went sour MM started threatening to go to the papers for money to sell his story.

It’s interesting how the comments are being allowed now, go back a couple of weeks and they were deleted instantly. I’m wondering if there was a time limit, maybe part of the agreement was that neither side comment. The staged Paris photos were followed very quickly by MM reappearing on social media. As for the runner possibly receiving money, good on him. Imagine being early 20s desperately trying to make it in TV land, you get involved in a relationship with a much older well known presenter, you get a job on a well known programme because of him. Then SOMETHING goes wrong. The whole machine that is ITV and TM management take over what is to happen next. For the runner, he may have been told his TV career would be over before it really began if he spoke out. If you are that young runner how do you fight back against them? You don’t, you accept the terms and keep quiet.

The Mirror article about a runner leaving TM because of a toxic environment came out on 10 Dec 2019. That's seven months later. So you have to ask, why is that a story worth running when so much time has past from the event, and why is a story about a runner that important (no offence to runners)? Likely because they knew there was more to the story, but couldn't say it, so talked around it.

So much has been found and posted on here, you're right Sassylass, journalists surely have found more. But despite all the amazing detective work on here, there are no photos of them kissing, holding hands, leaving a hotel room together or copies of their text conversations etc. Don't get me wrong, I believe there was an intimate relationship, but to absolutely prove that intimate relationship (potentially inappropriate because of ages at the time or because of PS being in a position of power in the workplace) would the newspapers need one of the parties from that relationship to come forward with solid evidence of that intimate relationship, and tell their story? Which MM most likely did, but they had to give Phil right of reply, and for whatever reason, went with his coming out story instead. I think ShelleyBell could be right on the money with her quote above re: harassment and libel laws.

It's all so confusing. But if allegations about me were all over the place I would speak out. The longer this is ignored the worse the rumours and allegations will get. Even if this was just a relationship that went sour and there was nothing inappropriate about it you would still have to look at the breach of itv code of conduct and his abuse of power. There is so much more going on in the background than we know.

Probably pulled because he will have been playing fake happily married with Mrs S on the programme. Look how the Paris trip backfired.

In mail online article about pips show being pulled, I think it’s strange it’s being replaced by another travel show! Don’t you think that makes no sense at all.?

also it says “MailOnline has contacted representatives for ITV for comment.” But it doesn’t say whether ITV have commented or not. Just saying!
 
Does anybody know for sure the reason for the last minute pulling of the holiday programme Phil had done? I know somebody in here had emailed ITV re this question.

from what ive read it still hasn’t been confirmed the reason for withdrawal is the Coronavirus, just an assumption. Also the sites have said they’ve contacted ITV for comment.

surely ITV should just issue a clarifying statement otherwise its a case of even more theories, speculation etc.

Although MM is still working for ITV, presumably his life is quite unpleasant atm. He is being talked about probably inside celeb world and on the internet. He clearly had aspirations to be more than a runner and a presenter/actor. Cant see that happening now he is so inexplicably linked to PS...
 
This is just a side note about the potential fake Twitter profile that I mentioned on thread #10 https://mobile.twitter.com/AdrianSeosamh/likes I notice that it 'likes' a lot of tweets that are against @JolyonMaugham (a tax lawyer), which is strange, as the person behind that profile purports to be a 'leftie' Corbyn/pro-Palestine supporter. I know for a FACT that this lawyer worked as HMRC's defence over the 'Ingenious' tax avoidance scheme (which PS was a part of). Not many people would even have heard of that guy/know who he is, let alone have him on their radar. The fake doesn't follow him, so to 'like' that many tweets against him, he must be constantly looking him up. Just me thinking out loud really...

Yip I totally agree with you or could it possibly be the advertising sponsorship pulled out? Who usually sponsors the how to spend it well series? (it’s not a programme I watch so I wouldnt know)

Or turn it on its head, most of us have heard of MM by now, his name is out there -in a strange way he’s now ‘known’. I’d imagine a lot of TV folk dislike PS, as was proved by all the negative stories that came out before this one, it’s not beyond the imagination that MM might get a break elsewhere in TV. Let’s face it the viewing figures would be massive as we’d all be tuning in for sure.

For a 'woman scorned' she's certainly keeping very quiet. In her shoes (assuming his coming out was a surprise) I would have made sure that snippets of information were leaked to the press by 'a close friend'. Hell hath no fury and all that!

I doubt it was a surprise, most likely a marriage of covinience/business, it’s been known he’s gay in the industry for years 🤷‍♀️

If it’s cancelled due to coronavirus, it seems fairly odd as just seen an advert for a travel show with Joanna Lumley to be shown this week

I wouldn't be at all surprised if the wife and daughters had signed NDA's. The Paris trip was bizarre and seemed a staged PR stunt. If it was meant to be a genuine private family holiday for them together, then why publish photos in the public domain? Why would two adult daughters want to be on holiday with their parents and not with their own friends or partners? They seem more like a brand than a family.
