Basically, having a baby is absolutely terrifying. I remember thinking the 12 week scan was the milestone. Then finding out what could happen at the 20 week scan. Then viability. Then reading about stillbirth etc. I was so naïve before I had my own child and still am in a lot of ways.

I agree. It only seems to get worse too. I find myself now over thinking about other ways them could come to harm😭😭

Me too. Being a parent is actually terrifying. I remember when I’d had my second baby, after losing my first, thinking that the worry would stop once he was born breathing-it definitely doesn’t stop...it’s literally never ending worry isn’t it

Out to the bike park on her birthday 😐 why can’t she just do something nice for herself ever and why does everything have to revolve around R? Why not drop R off at the grandparents and do some with Dean? Or at least choose something you actually get to enjoy too with the family. R just rules that house. Bet she opened her presents and cards too 😏

The wrinkles on her face 😮

You can see every dip and curve of her skull.
I thought that too! I mean I’m sure I’ve aged too especially homeschooling during covid 😝 but wow she doesn’t look anywhere near her age 😮

I think most birthdays I've had since parenthood have been spent doing something with the kids in the day. Especially with the way things are at the moment. HOWEVER I don't then go on social media and brag how I've sacrificed my day for my kids like I'm supermum - because I'm not I just like spending time with my family like most people - and lets me honest we aren't spoilt for choice right now.

I'd say that she has this evening to spend with Dean but he will be sitting in his room with his hat on playing Xbox I'd imagine while she sits on the living room floor/makeshift bed feeding Raven to sleep and preparing activities for tomorrow.

I loved the way Dean says in the colouring in video, it doesn't matter because you tried your best aka it doesn't matter Raven you're not a child prodigy just have fun 😂

I posted close ups of her teeth but they got removed 😐 but yeah... Sooooo buck toothy lately.

Framing the envelope. Jesus Christ. Nicola thinks she's the only kid who can write/copy down letters at 3.5.

Makes me wonder if it's something to do with breastfeeding? Swear I read somewhere that breastmilk is quite sugary, and wondering if that's having an effect on her teeth as she grows

It can be quite a big topic in the BF/cosleeping/GP groups. Lots of breastfeeding mums basically don't care because 'they are milk teeth and fall out anyway.' I got quite a lot of tit one day for saying just because they are milk teeth doesn't mean we should just let them rot, could end up causing so much unnecessary pain for little ones. I was actually super surprised by the groups at how so few of them care about good oral hygiene because their child is breast fed.
