She's either waiting for a pet passport from Northern Ireland (as ones issues from GB won't work for travel to EU or northern Ireland after Brexit) and that might take a couple months... or... Phil hasn't yet had all his vaccines yet/not had a microchip yet. Because since Brexit the system is that you get an Animal Healthcare Certificate for travel to EU/NI from your vet 10 days or less from when you're gonna travel and it costs £100.

I'm guessing she didn't want the hassle.

Pls I could literally cry about poor Phil being left alone over CHRISTMAS !! yes the cat doesn’t know what time of year it is but I just think it’s so sad, the poor baby :( I’ll take him off your hands love!!! 😡
she literally said she left him with a sitter?

the vaccine certificates you need to travel to NI for your pet, especially rabies take 3 weeks post injection (she probs didn’t think it all through in time) plus the boat is a really traumatic experience, they get locked in cages in a separate deck. I wouldn’t put my own cat through it if I thought I could let him stay in London with a sitter. It’d hardly be worth all the trauma of him getting injections and the over night boat (twice) if shes only home for a week…you lot would whine about anything like

She shouldn’t have got a cat in the first place - her lifestyle just isn’t stable enough for it. Cats are a 10+ year commitment and I doubt she has any idea where she will be this time next year never mind in 10 years, how many places she’s going to move to etc… it was just irresponsible

I meant alone as without his owner, not literally alone. I think take away the Christmas part anyway she leaves him all the time therefore why get an indoor cat in the first place? She was in Paris the other day. Fair enough your comment on the trauma and stress a plane/ferry would cause him but regardless it is sad that someone who got a cat a few months ago leaves him with random people every other day. I comment on this particular subject as a cat owner myself and I think it’s bad of her personally

Not even true about the boat, I’ve taken my dog to Edinburgh multiple times and to Liverpool and he was allowed in his carrier upstairs or just slept in the car and we periodically checked on them, they don’t get locked away, you can book them a kennel if you’d like but a small prebooked carrier case is allowed and you can make things comfy for them in the car. It all comes down to the fact she is not in a position to have a pet with her chaotic life and even if he’s with a sitter it most definitely will effect him that he never sees his owner

isn’t this the account that was getting accused of being olivia bc people were going through their past comments on flossie’s threads and then they immediately limited their profile so no one can see that anymore?

Lol, I didn't whine. I explained the pet passport system post brexit, wondered if maybe Phil hasn't had all the vaccines yet and said I'm guessing she didn't want the hassle. Which it would be quite a bit of hassle to get everything organised. And I agree she probably was thinking it through too late.

She was only not so long ago chatting about what to do with Phil over Christmas. I think even then might have been out of time in terms of getting the right documents together, imaging Phil is all up to date with his vaccinations.

Still, with her travelling about quite so much as she's so young and got the cash to do it, probably wasn't the best time for her to get a kitten imo.

I think it was another one but the tone comes across this way! All we are saying is that at 19/20 having a cat is a big responsibility. I could have never bought a cat at that age as I wanted to go out and enjoy myself and I’m not saying you can’t with a pet but leaving them all the time isn’t it girl! It’s selfish af
