i think even registered breeders can be problematic when they're making a lot of money tbh. we bought two cavalier king charles brothers from a kennel club breeder in 2012. after two or three years we had to give one back to them to rehome as he was bullying the other - the kennel club told us we should have never been sold two boys together (immediate competition for food, attention etc) and the breeder should've known this and told us!! the dog we kept was put down aged 6 after two operations on his back legs (pure breed joint issues), then developed fluid on his spine that made him essentially paralysed and mentally weaker. we picked that breed due to our lifestyle with 9-5 office jobs, but i still feel so guilty that we gave money to a breeder who likely knew exactly what they were selling us. if i could go back i would've definitely rescued a dog that deserved a second chance with loving owners.

i think since Olivia bought a house and left flossie to find somewhere to live alone they’ve probably been a little tense.
Probably drifted apart although I never got the vibes they were super close bffs anyway
I feel like if they have it’s probs also due to Flossie being literally obsessed with Olivia copying everything she does she’s actually turning into her it’s so embarrassing haha. I watched her recent vid out of curiosity and it was a carbon copy of Olivia

ik people who have tried to rescue dogs and the people from the shelter will find even the smallest detail of their house or garden wrong and they wont give them a dog, like being overly picky even tho the person trying to adopt is perfectly fine, idk maybe its diffrent in the UK than in ROI
thing is though they have to be strict about it, why do you think so many dogs end up in rescue centres? because they get a dog without thinking about the commitment, whether they have the right lifestyle for it etc.
i think it’s fairer on the dogs for them to be strict and try to avoid the dog getting new owners and getting attached before being sent straight back because they’re not the right fit
like for example someone like olivia getting a dog when she is still young, goes out a lot and not even 100% settled in one country lmao

okay but if shelters are so strict its not fair to complain about people buying dogs, it just makes life easier

Why does every influencer follow the same format.
get a collab w a brand.
move out into a flat or house
Move to another city/country ( sometimes )
Then decide to get a dog or cat

sometimes a bf/gf comes before the pet but not in every case.
I feel like I’m seeing the same things just different people on repeat like they all do the same thing

Shelters are so strict in order to protect the dogs, breeders exist cos they don't care to protect the dog(s)

If a shelter is refusing you a dog there's always a good reason and buying a dog won't change that reason

Sorry I don’t agree with that. We tried to rescue a cat who would be indoors only due to their history and our busy area. We were declined for one reason and one reason only - a window in our garden which had been removed the week prior and was being collected the following day. The cat would have been indoors only and the window wouldn’t have been there by the time we got the cat!

Imagine if she moved there lol

So if you had applied for the cat when the window was gone you'd have gotten it? Which is exactly my point, they have good reason to refuse you, you made an amendment and then you would have been accepted.

Anyway, this is really derailing the thread, back to olivia 😂

You’re just fighting your point for the sake of it. The window outside had absolutely no relevance to the living situation for an indoor cat so it cannot be a good reason.

I don’t disagree that she should look into rehoming first.

What do you mean for the sake of it? My whole point is rehoming is better and if you're in an unsuitable situation to rehome you're in an unsuitable situation to buy one too.

I agree I have no clue what relevance a window has with an indoor cat but I'm sure the shelter knew what they were talking about? Glad we're on the same page about rehoming anyway, back to Olivia now 😊

Looool so many stuck up her ass. I accidentally clicked a rave thread. All I’m saying is IMO she’s boring af don’t understand what everyone finds so interesting about her. There’s nothing unusual. So many girls in her comments say she’s living their life. Well if it’s a normal life why aren’t they doing it. I feel like her life is mundane not sure why people hype over the lives influencers have. They don’t really work n get paid a tit ton for ... sitting on a chair n talking or complaining about how hard it is to edit a video or they need a break. Don’t get it 😂😂

If John wasn’t in the picture her life is literally opening boxes, going on free trips, going out to dinner or drinks n trying on free stuff. I feel like influencers are doing the bare minimum. Would’ve been nice to see them acc do something possibly for the community like volunteering or helping out as good banks considering all the free clothes n food some get. I understand it’s her life but people have given her a platform to basically fart n burp in videos to which she gets paid hundreds for. Really lowered expectations of what these people do 😅😂. They promote a new mascara or shampoo before they’d leave links to food banks or shelters or things that their influence could significantly impact.

There’s only so many times you can shove function of beauty at someone before it’s boring 😂😂. INFLUENCE and acc do something. I’m tired of seeing John awkwardly look at the camera and her rave about how she loves him n they’re gonna get married when wasn’t he on tinder as soon as she left. Or how she’s going out w drinks w the girls which is probs a free meal. Yes she might donate or do things behind the seen but her and any influencer would acc make more of an impact if they involved n got a conversation going w viewers about something. Everything’s the same
