They'll have to wait on extradition procedures that's probably why the garda have taken over? I can't believe he's being considered for bail:rolleyes: he was arrested with a makeshift weapon so still a threat to the public, not just a DV incident.

To be fair to PSNI here they reported themselves to ombudsman in this case straight away. I know from a personal experience where I reported a domestic thing which I randomly found on my way home one day and they phoned me back to clarify points and the official story the couple gave was the polar opposite. Not sure if that is anything like what happened here but if the woman is being coerced or cannot talk then there is probably little they can do- don’t know if this is the case here as I haven’t looked into it fully but perhaps they have gone independent to get an objective look into if they could have done something differently which going forwards could be a good thing but obviously in this case the poor girl suffered.

I also think it could be multi jurisdiction failings.

Reading that she was found slumped against an upstairs window visible from the street is the stuff of nightmares.
To think she could have been saved or found sooner is just barbaric!

I don’t know what has been going on in and around my area the last few weeks but the police seem to never be away. And there for long periods or lights & sirens and away within 10-15 mins.
Make me feel uneasy as to what is happening, feel like ringing them to ask for clarification!

If he was resident in the ROI I’m sure they probably also should have been doing something to ensure his behaviours.

Yes your right and It think it’s only recently been in court 3/Oct all the children had been on the at risk reg
The man was jailed for life he had 77 previous convictions Including DV I don’t think the mothers been sentenced yet

Yes your right and It think it’s only recently been in court 3/Oct all the children had been on the at risk reg
The man was jailed for life he had 77 previous convictions Including DV I don’t think the mothers been sentenced yet

That was another horrendous one, her on off boyfriend who wasn’t to be left unsupervised… she apparently only left it to go look at a pram.
Injuries that poor child had too

That young woman in Randalstown must have been dead a few days too going by that article.
