I know. I wonder if we are going to see her tense, miserable expression and dead eyes again. She looked happier that she did for years in those weeks she spent without him, even if she was perhaps a bit manic.

I wouldn't be surprised if she had already rented a new place told him she was leaving and left him to deal with the mess of closing things out and moving. And doing it around the holidays and someone's birthday is especially cold. There was even suspicion that he had proposed or was getting ready to propose. In the announcement video I think he talked about how they had a hard few weeks and decided it was time to split up but he made it seem mutual probably just to save face. Turning down someone's proposal/leaving them unexpectedly would be enough to make them develop trust issues. They also owned SourcedBox together and they tried to continue with it after the breakup. There was an awkward vlog where the two of them had to attend a business meeting together and she briefly showed him on camera. They had their other business partner/friend there as a buffer. During the Gleam influencer parties they straight up ignored each other and it looked very awkward for all of their friends. Marcus also publicly moved on by May of the following year so the fans were all over him. I think that's probably a lot of where the toxicity they're talking about came from. Or maybe she did cheat idk. The facade of the nice girl dropped for good when she moved in with Joe and Freddie so I guess she's had that ugly side in her all along.

I agree, she doesn't have the verve or ambition it takes to cheat, she probably just treated him like tit and told him she wanted out out of the blue. We all know how fake she is and that she's not a good communicator in relationships. Seeing the relationship Marcus and Stefanie have even now makes me believe that Niomi was the bad apple, and was basically carried through those years of being together by Marcus' emotional availability and maturity.

Marcus admitting Niomi did something ‘really bad’ that coloured his opinion of her to the extent of ‘F you’ and ‘F relationships’ (at 1:05:38 - 1:06:12) 💀 From his phrasing, it was something that’s either cheating or equivalent/as bad as cheating in his mind.

So thanks Stefanie for bringing up Niomi taking away Marcus’s trust (first at 33:33, he expands til 35:15 that Nims made it end in an unpleasant way and made him not want another relationship again, then he brought Nims up again 30 mins later) so we get these new insights years later 🥲

So it was a betrayal of some sorts, and then she spend years preaching online to people about wellness and how to live.
 
I remember the end of Niomi and Marcus’s relationship. She was in a very controlling place with regard to food and eating. She was cooking mad vegan recipes and Marcus was visibly hungry and pissed off. Then they went to Bali and she spent a lot of time chasing paahfectt vegan Buddha bowls and smoothies. Even at the time she came across as a pain in the backside, and incredibly self absorbed.

Unless he's also a Vegan I don't like how she'd coerce him to live her way, she's so controlling, she probably made him feel so awkward he didn't know how to say no to "What do you mean Marcus, you don't appreciate this meal that I cooked for you from scratch?😩" ... I'm sure he wasn't going to eat something unsightly in front of her not to be insensitive but gezus, let the dude live. How would she like it if suddenly he's like ok all we eat now is seafood and meat 3 times a day, that's my life philosophy and you need to be a part of it, she'd bail in an instant.

I think he started eating mainly plant based with Steffi at some point, but I'm not sure.
