Nigel and June were always excellent on screen together. That first scene in the cafe where he chases down the youths who stole her handbag was the scene that first made me a Dennis fan. He was the son Dot wished she had and he was the mum he needed in his life. Any Dennis and Dot scene was guaranteed to be wonderful.

Today was lovely the way he looked after Dot and going to the specialist with her, I'm so over Dennis and Zoe its amazing the difference in chemistry compared to him and Tish Dean can't wait to see it all unfold again .

Any Eastenders episode that involved scenes between Dennis and Dot or Dennis and Sharon was bound to be a good one.

The chemistry between Nigel and Tish was electric - unlike him and Michelle Ryan. Zoe was always just a placeholder for the woman he really wanted. And Sharon can marry as many men as the EE writers want but Dennis was clearly the love of her life.
 
@Professor Yaffle don't want to derail the strictly thread with our Nige lifting chat 😁 so I've popped this on his thread, his trainer has took down the one I was thinking of but this was still there lol

I honestly couldn't face it last night either i didnt particularly want to go out in the middle of a bloody storm but I ended up saying yes to a take away round my mates house just to get me out and away from it, i felt so stupid for still feeling low so I'm honestly glad I'm not alone ♥


ETA : Has it definitely been confirmed he's back for final and might do the group dance etc ?

I’m sure it was Katya who mentioned on her IG stories that he’d be back. And the press confirmed it too - in between dragging his name through the mud 🙄

Count me in as someone else who hasn’t watched Strictly since Nigel and Katya left. I watched the two of them on the live show last week and their ITT interview but, beyond the Class of 2023 group dance, I have no desire to watch any more Strictly this year. I enjoyed dances from other couples but it was all about Nigel and Katya really.

The show is all about joy for me and I know myself well enough to know I’d only have spent the quarter-final and semi-final thinking about what could and should have been rather than finding joy in watching the couples who are left.

It’s just not the same anymore is it? Funny how things like this can affect us but they really do sometimes. ❤️

Thanks for all that info it's much appreciated, I'm so pleased we get to see him dance again in some way this week hopefully.
I think that's the thing that does hurt the most knowing we don't get to see him dance or just be live on TV each week it was a total one off cut short
Obviously acting wise he's amazing in Classic EE and Casualty being back soon too, but it's the dancing we probably won't see that from him now ever again on the telly 🙁

Awesome, because I have been seeing so much about Nigel being an A. But he doesn't seem like that kind of person, and if he was that bad backstage, why haven't we heard about him doing it on the Casualty set.

Lots of us have either met him in real life, or know people who have worked with him or have even dated him, and then you look at all the lovely things co -stars over the years always say about him too so i think for me personally i go off what they say from really knowing him than some of the crap that's get written in the mail regarding the strictly stars year on year.

If you like him i wouldn't let it cloud your enjoyment kinda thing 🤷

Loved him since EE, love Casualty and Strictly. Though I am not sure if he could convince me to meditate, I tried it in Compassion therapy and I ended up thinking even more.

Though I would love to make him a homemade card.
