I‘m not sure how it works in the UK, but isn‘t a deposit a certain amount of money you get back after you‘ve moved out of the property (as long as there is no damage etc.)? So why is it expensive if you add it up? You can just use the money from the old deposit for the new one, right?

I think sometimes you have to live there for a certain amount of time before you can claim back your deposit. So if someone didn’t like their rental after a few weeks there isn’t the hassle of finding a new tennant? I’m really not sure though.

Im not from the UK either but where I’m from the deposit isn’t always the same amount, that’s why I thought it would be expensive.

Yeah this is what I meant. She doesn’t live somewhere for a long time, plus every deposit is different amount. The way she spends her money, I think she isn’t saving the deposit for the next deposit lol

Considering she’s living alone and not at these places long enough to cause much wear and tear or damage she will more than likely be getting her deposit back! Deposits being returned in the uk can take a little while too so I can imagine with the length of time she’s being at her moms her deposit from the old place probably has not long being returned to her and she’s just used that to re rent somewhere else! Who’s got the time or energy to be moving around this much though

I also can’t believe how easier it is for her to be finding these houses with the dogs! It’s impossible these days to find rentals that allow dogs!
