It really isn’t. My Mam is 60 and honestly you’d think there was 20 years between them. Turning 60 doesn’t mean you have to give up on yourself and resign yourself to being an old maid.

i think that’s what triggers me with nana Bev. I’m sure we all know people around her age who look great, dress stylishly and have a really young attitude. They are great advertisements for being 60 plus, but Bev is so old-fashioned in her food tastes, clothes, house and lifestyle. She seems to think that knowing all the lyrics to some Oasis tracks, going down slides in a kids playground and saying”bang tidy” means she’s this really enviably young nana who everyone thinks is great because their own nana is sitting in a rocking chair knitting socks or something!! Well, heres the thing Bev - you SCREAM being older than your age. You look at least 10 years older than you are and the antics you get up to trying to prove you’re young just look desperate and a bit sad. Plus your attitude stinks. You’re welcome!

She’s jumped on the virtue signalling bandwagon without having any real knowledge of the issue she’s virtue signalling about! She’ll hitch herself to any issue that she feels will make her appeal to people and I find that distasteful. I have a feeling if you scratch the surface, she’d come out with some very dubious views. Just a feeling.

I could imagine her being the type of Brit that goes abroad and when she orders anything from the menu she would just speak really loud and condescending.

On the holiday camp tv show she did, she was adamant that “abroad” wasn’t for her - Christ, she was only in her 40s when that was made, what a narrow little life!! Subsequently, she has been abroad, but I’m guessing to the type of places with a British bar and an all-day full English. Bev doesn’t strike me as being a Rough Guide type of traveller 😂

Yeah but made a video this year saying that her and Dave were always in corfu at same week every year. Maybe never went abroad as her mum wouldn't go?
 
Oh god I’m glad there’s a thread on this woman, she’s so abrupt and cheeky, god help anyone having to work with her in care. I work nights, I don’t have any problems with bowels, I get killed with heartburn 😂 didn’t she say at one time she was a full time carer but worked two nights a week? That‘s not full time. She’s v lucky she can sleep for 8 hours. 6 is my best and I work a lot more nights than she does 😂😂😂 I’m too knackered in the morning to make a scran! Cereal, smoothie, microwave porridge or bread. Sooner I get to sleep the better. Nice to meet you all. X

She gets a right cob on when anyone uses her actual name or knows where she lives, despite both being referenced in her Come dine with me episode. Very odd woman! Also I've never worked nights but my partner did for years and never once did he have a full on tea in the morning like that :sick:

I worked with a nurse who ate a full bleeping roast dinner during shift. Absolutely rotten. Lamb chops and all. Bork!
