I've got a theory:
Fans kept turning up at her work to take selfies with her and asking for autographs and advice on how to cook stew that was frozen at the turn of the century and her work were like "Beverly you're too famous to work here now and we can't afford the extra security" They paid her off and threw her a party with the big light on and 36 bottles of fruit shoot and a buffet with the leftovers from the party to celebrate the queen Mums birthday.
I think this is definitely what happened.
