Is there something else going on apart from the gallbladder? What has a respiration / lung capacity test got to do with it? (excuse my ignorance)
There must be more to it. I know oxygen levels can be a bit low for a while after a general but I’ve never seen that ball thing. I was given coughing exercises to keep my lungs clear after a general, unless the ball thing is more gentle with the surgical site so close to her lungs & diaphragm.

Mom heart?? Like wtf is she on at all?... where does she get this shite.

Her Mom hole is the only thing that hurts from sitting on it..

In all seriousness, I do hope this gives her a fright and makes her realise her health is in serious trouble due to her weight and rotten lifestyle. She needed a wake up call. Sadly I also doubt she'll make changes. This is the start of it now. She'll be in for more medical issues in a few months. She is a walking heart attack.

Remember she was called back by CUMH when the twins were like 6 to 12 mnths to be reviewed because she was a gestational diabetic?
Anyone recall, did she ever address it?
No she never once said anything after her gestational diabetes review, just that she was going to the appointment , if they did try to give her a bit of a reality check or food/weight advice it only went in wan ear and out the other

Does she have to careful with what she eats from now on? Can she have Supermacs every week or fizzy drinks?
Yes and no. Should she try eat less fat, yes given she’s no gallbladder storing bile ready to break down fat however I don’t have one and I know several that have them removed and for the most part you can eat normal. Fizzy drinks for example make no difference to me so wouldn’t be surprised to see her reunited with her Pepsi soon but that supermacs will be dodgy. Potentially alright but more than likely cramps and running to the loo soon afterwards. She’ll learn quick enough, you can get tablets to help this but they’re over a hundred a month so you’d want a medical card to make it make sense. Easier to alter your diet!

It’s used post op to encourage the patient to take deep breaths. They’re given out quite readily in some hospitals, or prescribed by some doctors, but a lot don’t - the evidence to support their use is poor, so a lot of places have moved away from them (back in the day they would have been given to everyone after an operation, and some ppl have trouble moving on). A few deep breaths and sitting out of bed has the same effect.
