Kamala Harris didn’t read the room. She got loads of A list celebs to endorse her and it backfired monumentally. The whole era of celebrities having weight and influencing people is dead. All it did was divide the those who have and those who haven’t. It should have been about the common man not glitzy celebs bigging her up. It’s so condescending. Besides what do celebs know about the struggles of the average American 🤷‍♀️

I work In the States a lot and travel extensively throughout the states every few weeks and i can tell you now trump was going to win. He speaks to the majority of white americas outside the East and West coast of America and we probably don’t see this because of our media really only focusing on California and the east coast.
I have seen some of the worst poverty ever in the States so when JLO and chums are telling Americans to vote it just feels wrong and really doesn’t work.

Exactly.
If you’re shocked that Trump won, then you don’t understand the world right now.
No one wants to hear what millionaires Beyoncé or Cardi B or JLo, or even billionaires like Oprah have to say about politics. They’re absolutely minted. They have nothing in common with the average working American. Utterly tone deaf.
Whether you like it or not, most people don’t care about climate change or equitable healthcare, wars in foreign countries, or even women’s reproductive rights. Those are things that people with the luxury of a financial safety net can afford to spend time worrying about.
Most people live paycheck to paycheck and all they really care about is how much (more) money they will have in their pocket after the election’s over. The Trump campaign understood that.

Having the billionaire Elon Musk talking on his behalf didn’t seem to be too much of a problem

Beyoncé, Oprah, J-Lo … I’m guessing it’s that they are self-made women of colour that is more of an issue than their wealth.

I do think there is an element of condescension and patronising. Jlo in her endorsement was speaking to the Latino community but I don’t think a lot of American Latinos feel they can identify with her whereas Elon musk is reaching out to an entirely different demographic who feel they weirdly can identify with him 🤷‍♀️ Elon musk just like trump is a nob.
It’s just a shame the democrats relied too heavily on celebs. The optics were wrong.
It’s quite amazing how Americans would rather vote for trump than a woman. But I don’t like Oprah one bit so this prob didn’t help the votes.

On a side note JLO is absolutely banging! She is so gorg, I would believe anything she told me 🤣

There’s a man on there getting absolutely ripped apart on there and being accused of being a pweirdo/abusive because he’s asking for advice after the mother of his step kids abandoned them, he took over care for however many years and she’s now decided she wants them back.
as several other posters have pointed out, if the genders were reversed it would be a very different story.

I highly suspect the whole thing is made up. There's a definite phenomenon of MRA types making up bullshit stories like this, and this one honestly reeks. How often do women abandon all their children to perfect victim stepfathers who raise them as their own, alone, with no legal guardianship rights, only to swan back in years later like Cruella de Vil demanding to split them all up?

I've played arcade game characters with more depth than this.

True, Elon is a white guy. But despite being a gazillionaire, his brand is that he’s very anti-establishment, which appeals to trump voters. Every time you see him, he’s in jeans and t shirt, saying something bonkers. Beyoncé had the Louvre in Paris closed so she and Jay Z could have a private view, for example. Just not relatable.

But also, the misogyny cannot be underestimated.
I remember back when Obama and Hillary Clinton were up against each other for the Democrat nomination, I was talking to an old family friend (a Brit) who has lived in the US for decades and he said that Americans would vote for a black man before they’d ever vote for a woman. And back then, the idea of Americans voting for a black man seemed inconceivable.

Edit: Just to be clear - I think Trump is a bleep. But I can understand how he won.

Absolutely wild thread in Pets of all places called "Puppy with weird legs" OP is an absolute psycho. Get it while it's hot or before it gets deleted, which frankly won't be long if the OP keeps insulting people.
BTW Op's name is MummaTo2RainbowBabies which is

She is a loon 😂 That poor pup though, cute but bandy as duck with a mental owner. The breeders saw them coming though. The going rate for those puppies is far more than £500.
