Even if you eat to not die, you still have to go to the shops and get food to put in the freezer for when you're peckish. My kids would eat cereal 24/7, but legally I still have to provide them with balanced meals and since I don't live in a Tesco there is some degree of having to think in advance about what to make for dinner. (well if we're being accurate, 95% of my brain spends the entire day consumed with what I'm going to make for dinner, fussy fuckers.)

I love food. I love talking about food, eating it, thinking about it.

I used to be with someone who pulled out that while ‘you live to eat, I eat to live’ thing. Ironically he ate quite a lot to live and is substantially overweight and has type 2 diabetes. Not sure he is morally superior really.

I cannot stop laughing at those ridiculous outfits. They MUST be trolling. I wish there was a middle ground of sensible suggestions on S&B between people suggesting crap ditsy print dresses and that nonsense. I want to know where the good stuff can be found! (Maybe it doesn’t exist any more?)

I hope that when she goes out on the piss with her friends he demands she return by 9pm ON THE DOT.

Madness.
Why does an adult have a curfew?!
Urgh.
I hope he was getting his willy wet somewhere else.

There's always threads about how child benefit should be saved for the child on Mumsnet and people saying stuff like oh my sister\friend\colleague spends her and I do judge her for it as I save it for my children 🙄

So many high handed pricks on MN.

Our child benefit just goes into the joint account and is spent on family expenses 🤷‍♀️ Until that thread I had no idea people treated it as a government funded nest egg for their kids. If you can afford to do that then you don’t need CB.
