It’s not that they’re tit, but if you want any more than ‘live’ footage you need to subscribe. And they can then put the subscription for access up as and when they want. This happened about a year ago - I’m sure if went from £2.99 to £4.99 per month - basically a large %. Lots or people, including myself very cross, and I cancelled my subscription but then realised I’m absolutely hooked on being able to look back if I miss a delivery or ring to see what went down. So within a month I was back to subscribing (I’m still cross about it!)

I think you can get Eufy ones where you don’t need to pay for ongoing storage as it stores the info inside it (or at least somewhere that you don’t need to pay to access?), and most people seemed to think that was the better option.

Ours just always plays up, loses signal and goes offline. When we've spoken to ring they suggest we upgrade (we have had the doorbell 2 years). They're not cheap especially if you have to buy a new one every couple of years! Just adds up especially with the £8 a month we pay for the subscription as we have a camera in the garden too so this covers both for live view etc. Looking at getting a eufy instead.
 
My husband gets home usually very late at night or early in the morning and at least a couple of times a week the Ring fails to pick him up which doesn’t give me much confidence in it getting footage of any intruders who I assume would be less likely to try during daylight hours!

Same… also ppl stood there sumtimes and I haven’t been told. She will promote anything for a fast £
 
why is she trying so hard if the military isn’t a real job??
