Much, much harder to break the rules in more traditional media outlets. Punishments are tougher too. Usually a big fine and they sometimes have to issue a retraction/apology or withdraw the advert (if feasible to do so) if found to be on the wrong side of the rules. I’m sure it goes on still. Brands are always looking for loopholes (aren’t they Tesco?). Have you any examples?

Love the #. Yes, make sure you let them know the reason you are unsubscribing. There are plently of good CM vloggers but they can't sweep this under the carpet as a boob. The whole village as they call themselves need to state it is not ok to undisclose ads or gifts.

I got a reply from Ash reid on my Dm to say that traditional media don’t disclose ads all the time and get away with it but as soon as Mum does it every body is questioning her

The boo hoo traditional media get away with it argument irks me. The medium and audience are different but they are subject to the same rules. Concentrate on getting your own house in order first.

So we’re targetting them because they’re mums? Even though we’re also mums? I know internalised misogyny can be a problem but that’s stretchibg it a bit isn’t it? I think some product placement/ads have fallen through the net but it’s nit as prevalent as she would lead us to believe and certainly not commonplace like in the world of vlogging and influencers
 
This is a truly healthy and important debate. Many of us have teenagers or to be teenager. And we have to react. There must be rules and «influncers» should and must have a huge resonsebilty because of the impact they have.
Seeing a «channel» (channel mum) who makes a living out of helping parents respond superficial under a ad video feat. a 1 year old. Its mindblowing.

I know there are a few channel mum mums who don’t like her at all. Don’t want to get into detail but I was told she ignored smaller cm vloggers, literally pushed past them to get to bigger vloggers like Louise P at events

Cash Carraway is an odd character but her take on 'clever instamums' was funny. Would lobe her take on Mrs M and CM. Natasha Baillie has done similar and used to be with CM. I remember when she left and someone commented 'Never really believed you shopped in Icelands'.
 
The latest baby name story. She just loves the name Florence; She wanted Poppy as a name 4 years ago so had to use it 3rd time round; Little fire..?I really wanted Sophia but ended up calling her Safiyah instead!

I wonder if Rebedge is actually a little embarrassed of her name choice for S? It doesn't exactly fit with her middle class image she likes to portray, with classical names for #2 & #3 but her first born has a slightly unusual name and could be seen as being a bit weird in comparison to Florence and Poppy.

Mrs Meldrum was quite young when she had her first and maybe was probably not as polished as (she likes to pretend) she now is hence the her daughters name. Maybe that's why she's so vile to poor S... Even her name doesn't fit her brand and reminds her of her monster days?
