I think he thought that the shop was going to be a lot more successful than what it was. Selling his furniture and interior tells us a lot about his future plans. He was in an impossible market with Grainne opening (which she has spent years building up) and also the Medical Hall taking in a variety of make up brands. You can fake it till you make it but I feel that this may be the end of the road for him. How can he compete with the online market, its already flooded..
 
Completely agree with what you're all saying.
I do feel sorry for him too. I hate this whole notion of "fake it til you make it". It puts so much pressure on people, especially the younger generation and at the age of 19 he really should be proud of what he's done so far but a bit of honesty goes a long way and that's something he's been sorely lacking.
Grainne is never not working whereas Caolann opened that shop and was barely in it.

Exactly, it didn’t work. He’s a people pleaser and tries to do everything to fit in to this industry. He needs to go now and focus on a particular side of the industry and try to make himself authentic in some way Without creating something that is a cardboard copy of someone elses hard work! Fingers are crossed for him And hope it doesn’t knock him too much with it closing

Don't bullshit us. Buttercrane has loads of empty stores and are calling out for businesses. If you wanted to extend your lease, I'm sure there would be no issues. Also, your in the middle of trying to extend your release, yet you are selling your lights and furniture etc?
Just look at the stories, we see greggs opposite the store is permanently closed too. Buttercrane needs your business.
 
Looks like all his celebrating after a successful first week came back to bite him on the ass. He needs to take this time now and focus on something a little more classy.and original. He should also assess his own behavior...rolling into work half cut, puking on the street is NOT a good look for anyone but especially not when you just opened a shop!!!!!!!
