I think it’s worth noting these are people coming up to her at the parks, not in the grocery store, dentist or church. If at the parks without a camera in her hand is not the right time to say hi, then what is?

For me, even added to the accounts of those who meet her in the parks, it’s the consistent way they’re cross with people when they do an AMA.

I’ve said this before, don’t get me wrong, I absolutely have my own parasocial relationship but the older I get the more I’m willing to recognize that’s what they are. I sure don’t know Molly better than anyone else here, but there’s just something that has rubbed me the wrong way about her since the split. I do know that my oldest kept her eyes peeled for her during our last trip and would have definitely felt some preteen devastation had she actually met her and Molly had been rude. So maybe it’s just empathy for those it’s happened to because of that.

Wow, how douchey of him.
I agree. Justin is another person I like the skills of. If he had the attention span required to have a boss he'd have done well in a film career even without the education.

But the way he treats his success is odd - he pushes away supporters, will go long periods of time without posting anything and just seems to self-sabotage himself frequently.

There is plenty on this person to fill a few threads as he brought his personal life into the vlogs over and over again. He needs a discussion thread.

I agree just from the comments here. Sheesh.

she strikes me as an introvert
Introverts don't generally get to be (former, in this case) Cast Members.

I’m a fan of Birdspapaya (Canadian influencer) and she was just in WDW and shared that she herself approached a fan that she realized recognized her and was too shy to say hi. Not to say this is expected behaviour or that everyone needs to do it, but it’s a counter-example of how some recognizable content creators interact with fans.
I watch a lot of Sam4G0d's videos (she mainly focuses on Disneyland Paris) and she actively encourages people to say hello, often asking if they want to be in her videos/having general chats about the parks with them, all while showing she truly appreciates those who recognise her.

Molly increasingly comes across as 'the star of the show' and she knows it.

I wasn't trying to make an excuse for her, clearly Molly needs to practice at meeting people. We can train ourselves to be better at it. What I was doing was offering an explanation in hopes that maybe one person might learn that there are many personality types out there and not to assume that someone is going to be open to meeting a new person at the drop of a hat. To give people time to acclimate.

I understand your points, my point is moreso that her attitude towards fans that meet her in the park significantly clashes with the values she presents in her content. This is word from word on their "about us" section in their Patreon:

"We've been working hard to build a tight knit community who share similar passions and interests and give them a shared space. We call that Mammoth Club, and you're our members"

I'm not saying that it's unreasonable for her to not be warm and welcoming because she is much more introverted than she reflects on camera, I'm saying that she deserves to have a lot of criticism about it because community is written in their brand and it's a brand that many viewers are paying into.

If you don't like talking to viewers that come up to you in the parks when you're not filming, don't build your brand around community. Otherwise you're at some level scamming the viewers that are buying into that.

There are 8 different types of introverts, even then no one is completely introverted or extroverted. Rather, envision it more as a gradient scale.

Personally, I am on the extremely introverted side and yet I have no issues leading a team and presenting content to management on a regular basis. How do I do this if I'm an extreme introvert? I put on my big girl pants and become who I need to be. My goal is to share info and keep everyone on the same page and I cannot do that by hiding within myself.

There are plenty of introverted cast members in the Disney organization, both within the parks as well as in corporate.

Is she acting as the star of the show these days? YUP. It's annoying too. This is one of the ways she's slipping into that nasty FL Theme park vlogger area. Not to be mean, but I think she could use a kick of humility.

All of this!

Especially because they foist questions and fans off onto the Discord community on top of that. If someone asks about accessibility for example, something Molly is quick to say she knows nothing about, the response is post about it on our Discord! They crowdsource their interactions and make the “community” do it for them.

Okay, I totally get this and you all are right. She needs to train herself to meet people better. No excuses.

Molly frequently knows more than she lets on to. She may not want to be seen as an expert on a subject such as accessibility but there is nothing to stop her from sharing what she knows with a disclaimer and that opens up new opportunities to learn and share more. Also, Discord SHOULD be a place in which people who need such information can gather it from others who have experience. Unfortunately their Mammoth Club Discord evolved quickly into a mess of GIFs and jokes. One is far better off seeking out info on the Disboards (cringe)

What bothers me about Molly is that she has told people it’s okay to meet her in the parks (not while filming though). Don’t say that if you are annoyed that someone wanted to say hi. There was no excuse for how she acted to that lady and her kid in line. And it was Alan too.

They both had a crappy attitude. “Oh thanks” and returning to her texting is a piss poor way to meet a “fan,” especially when they keep going on about your videos. Should Molly be jumping up and down while screaming “OMG, you love my channel!” Definitely not. But muster up a little graciousness.

I would have more respect for her if she just said “Hey, I feel uncomfortable with meeting people…” from the start. I’ve always liked Molly, but this definitely has left a bad taste.

Some folks in the Tracker thread have shared their interactions with Molly. A few are positive, but the majority seem to be like this. And yet with all the hate the Trackers get, I’ve never read about a negative in-person interaction with them!

I’m surprised to hear Molly had a microphone. When their equipment was questioned they were sassy about it, but then they apparently took the advice. What’s next, a new camera? But what about the guest experience! Seems if she cared about their experience, she would be nicer to the guests she interacts with at the park!

I think the Tracks get so much hate because of their bad behavior in their personal lives plus the laziness in producing their content (like plagiarizing someone else’s HHN footage). I don’t see so much feedback that they are rude to their fans.

But I agree: Molly should reconsider her behavior towards viewers. Because interactions like this are going to get out and it is going to turn people off. Also,I imagine it is only a matter of time until some secret comes out and they are on the Vlogger tit list right next to the Trackers.

Speaking of Max, maybe Molly shouldn't take her advice from him on how to interact with people. Another rude son of a gun. What's his excuse?

But is it more douchy of Molly to tell people to say hi to here in the parks then basically ignore them? I'm not saying she needs to stop videoing or pose for a selfie for every fan she meets but her treatment of fans seems less than stellar.

Still waiting for a paying Patreon to give their story maybe she treats them like royalty.

I've given up reading the tracker thread. It started being overrun with vulgar comments and the valuable insight was lost in the noise.

Tim has always had the reputation for being pleasant to meet. Not so with Jenn as she's been seen avoiding people and hiding behind the safety of her husband.

The issues with their channel for me are with content. They just don't put forth the effort to learn what they're supposed to be experts in and often won't follow through with what they claim they'll do. Also, Jenn still has no idea how to put together a storyline. The intro/outtro wrapper does not turn a mess of clips into a story. Personally, I don't care if they want to vlog a day in the life, just do it well, it's your income.
