It makes sense for her to have had the baby and already be at home, as soon as the press found out she was going to The Portland the paps would have been waiting on the doorstep for her to come out.

She isn’t booked at Wythenshawe. She’s having her baby at the Portland. Her consultant at the place near alty hosp where she had all her AN care is a link practitioner for the Portland.

Other PP mentioning the Alex in Cheadle are incorrect, the Alex doesn’t offer any maternity services and certainly no intrapartum care.

The reason she is delivering at the Portland is because there aren’t any private intrapartum care providers up North, they’re all down South. Other than independent mw’s who can only facilitate home births which she obviously didn’t fancy.

To be fair to her I don’t blame her at all. Wythenshawe, like all NHS maternity units are massively stretched at the moment and there would be no chance of her getting any special treatment or a private postnatal room because they’re allocated to women based on clinical and social need.

A woman as well known as her would probably feel really uncomfortable on the ward in a bay of 4, people would be able to hear and see her and would probably sell stories at a time when she deserves a little privacy.


This is the same reason Ronaldo’s wife ended up delivering at St Mary’s, they’re no private maternity care around here.

She could be having her baby on the lindo wing not always the Portland now it’s either been paid from her magazine deal or her private health insurance
