I do feel like they are slowly becoming more distant with each other. Mols seems to have deep-rooted confidence issues which goes part in parcel with the instagram hun aesthetic and doesn't seem to relate or trust anyone but her family and Tommy. She's even somewhat distant with her family too. I think this baby will give her meaning and I think Tommy is going to keep on doing what he's doing and she really will blossom and move away from his tit. They're backgrounds differ and neither one of them seem enthusiastic in finding a way to integrate them. It's young love, great in the moment when you've got the world at your fingertips but never destined when you consider the longer term family commitments
 
So Tommy is going to be fighting when he has a newborn baby? Actually feel kind of sorry for Molly and really sorry for the baby who will clearly have an absent father.

Somebody a couple of pages ago mentioned something about the traveller culture being very patriarchal. Obviously Tommy is his own person but Tyson and John had children young and while I wouldn’t say that they are model fathers, it doesn’t appear that they were/are absent. I wonder if Tommy would have been more invested if they were having a son?

Tommy may be a traveller ethnically, but he doesn't practice the culture. He married a non-traveller - a gorger - got her pregnant out of wedlock and lives with her. The first is uncommon in the like and the latter two are completely shunned upon for both men and women. I don't think he'd be more involved if they were having a son. It's very clear he's not interested in her and is probably only still with her to not receive backlash for leaving his GF when she's pregnant. I see Tommy as a young man with a lot of girls throwing himself at him and the last thing he wants to do right now is settle down, which he is completely in his own right to do but he should at least have the balls to be honest with Molly and Molly herself should walk in the light of the truth and read the writing on the wall. I don't think either of them really wants to be together; they aren't in a mutually beneficial relationship, it must be very draining to deal with. Yet, as I said before, I lack sympathy for either of them because they are both two grown adults who can easily leave one another with little hassle, much less than a regular couple would. I see the relationship fizzing out completely when the baby hits around the 6 month mark. Queue the insta post of 'we've made the mutual decision to separate, but we'll be friends and co-parent baby XYZ.'
