A promise ring would soooooo be stringing this out - I'm having a real 'piss or get off the pot' moment !!!

I'm pretty certain your engagement ring is supposed to be your most significant - ie expense - piece of jewellery - so presumably the bar is pretty high. £100,000 budget perhaps ? I think MM might need to throw some money in for that. I don't think she's going to accept a special sentiment ring
 
This trip is just to get publicity / hype them up - I think an OTT Valentines Day proposal somewhere hot like Barbados is more likely ( OK Magazine exclusive photos) than a wet New York NYE proposal cliché. If Tommy cannot afford even to pay his accountant or Tax bill, Molly’s definitely paying for the ring & NY trip anyway. ( I don’t think Tyson is that generous or close to Tommy to give him loads of money.)

It’ll probably be a “designed by Tommy for her “ ring - a massive 5+ Carat Lab made Diamond passing it off as real - rather than Cartier or Tiffany ring. Like Paris Fury’s new one is too big & dull to be a real diamond. US is a cheaper place to get rings than UK so maybe just a shopping trip atm.

Opinion seems to be split on the boxing forums. Jake Paul is considered a joke but so is Tommy as a pro boxer. From the guys who actually box, looks like they think it could've went either way. Which is not a plus for Tommy considering Jake Paul isn't even considered a boxer.

Lot of comments about Tommy staying out of the ring if he wants to keep those good looks, that if he's serious about being a boxer, then he ain't gonna be no pretty boy much longer.

Also a lot of comments saying he's a flat out bum and plenty of derision for the few fighters he's already faced. That first serious journeyman he faces, he'll be destroyed.

I did believe Tommy had a slight advantage at the time, but that was pinned on him proving Jake isn't the real deal either and that's something he obviously failed to do. Tommy is ****categorically**** a bigger joke that JP now and that's absolutely NOT for me how this situation was supposed to play out.

at this point this whole trip is just … nonsense. I mean we should find out tmw morning on her story. If she is engaged which I highly doubt with given circumstances (finances etc) then we’ll defo find out tmw morning with a post of her flashing and showing off her hopefully not tacky ring. Imagine if they both chipped in to get her engagement ring on finance 😭😭

A surprise engagement isn’t likely to happen with them, especially if they’re travelling to places that are typically seen as romantic like Christmas in NYC or Paris or someplace beachy like the Maldives or whatever. Molly also likes the attention and speculation as it gives her views so I would say there’s always going to be hinting with them. They’re never going to be a “oh hey we got engaged and it was totally unexpected” kind of couple
