My thoughts exactly; of all the women in the world, how can a pregnancy be ‘unexpected’ to a midwife who’s studied everything about conception?! Unless she was one of the fewer than 1 in 100 women that get pregnant on the pill?! Bah humbug.

Part of me initially sympathises and thinks ‘there for the grace of god go I’ in terms of even if you take necessary precautions you could still be the fewer than 1 in 100 etc. But then I remember just how sanctimonious she was about stuff everything that the sympathy vanishes - I don’t think she’d have much sympathy for anyone else who was in her position, actually can see her being the stereotypical mean girl about it.

I just feel for their daughter that it’s all been written about/discussed in minute detail and she’s been referred to publicly as an accident - and will likely stumble across that at some point as opposed to them having a proper discussion with her about it all as/when/if appropriate.

I’m not sure. I have know of a midwife who didn’t realise she was pregnant until the fourth month (that was another ‘accident’ as well). My own thoughts on it are why would anyone want to to tie themselves permanently to a clown like Simon Hooper ON PURPOSE? I think they both got what they deserved in that respect.

They will 100% say it was a personal issue so they don’t look like they scared off by BLM and then that way people can’t critique them all whilst never having to disclose what the reason is. Can’t be that bad if work ongoing at house of horrors and we know Simon has been active through his deleted post and “online X hours ago” from DMs

Yep I agree....’a personal private tragedy’ will go for the sympathy and the ‘don’t ask any questions’ approach!

But, and I sound like a stuck record saying this, the race issue against them will not go away until they address it and own it (and Clemmie apologise!) it could be reignited at any time in the way it was several weeks ago after the George Floyd tragedy.

I don’t think I’m wording this very well as I don’t think the race issue should go away, I think BLM needs to stay current. What I mean is they may lay low and come back when it’s not being publicised as much but it could come back at any point. They were clearly about to sneak Glen back in just before it as we’d been teased with the little glimpses of her but then they got challenged over what she’d said in November so scuttled off into hiding.

I was just watching another ~influencers IG stories and she’s “going through some things” that she’ll “probably talk about later.” Now with any normal person you’d think: okay, that’s fair. But when you tell us about your kids’ potty training, constipation issues, show us their temper tantrum meltdowns, etc etc. Why do YOU get privacy, but not your kids?

So this relates back to the OD’s IF they come back with a “we went through something personal” type story. Why can you share the in’s and out’s of your children but your issues get to be private? So if they do come back that way I seriously hope people call them on it.

It's not so entertaining. I think we both realized like after two seconds "okay there is no chemistry"... Still ordered a drink but the smalltalk was so boring. He was talking a lot but without getting specific. I asked him for example what he had been up to today and then he talked for 5 minutes about YouTube videos and that there are many interesting ones where people teach you stuff and he started watching them and there are lots of experts and during lockdown he really got into certain topics but he never said what kind of topics and I was like "okay are you watching videos about playing the ukulele or learning Chinese or about how to dispose a body ????" Then we started talking about football and I think he realized that I know a lot about it and then he was like "wow for a girl you know a lot... That's special" and I was like: is it 1922 🙄??? At one point our smalltalk was so basic that I thought okay "when will he ask me about my favourite colour or pet (blue and dogs btw) ?" that was worse that the date I had a few years ago with a man whose first question was "do you like board games?"

Oh so you were on a date with my husband? (Minus the misogyny, but he has definitely forced me to watch countless, pointless, ENDLESS 'how to' tutorials on YouTube. Also definitely considers board games foreplay.)
 
As well as demotions, have posts been deleted? I can see a few in quoted replies that aren’t in the feed o_O

Has it been covered before that Simon has a TikTok account? It’s unverified and only has one video. It’s weird because the video is all about him (with a very brief twin cameo). I wonder if it was an exploration into childless content...
